Fire up?

The weekend of events is fairly depressing tho...
Just this week? how about the majority of the season, the players and coaches have put in but the media have been hounding us and it's starting to wear thin.
Wondering if the AFL are setting us up to make use look bad while the GWS are getting stronger and stronger.

This season is over. I can't see us getting over this. With our captain (who we bought for his on and off-field leadership) fresh out of rehab after a drug overdose and a recently alleged gambling problem (a very big one?) how are the rest of the team going to take things seriously?
Can't wait 'til next year (if I stick around).

Are you f**king serious?

I get the rehab thing being a factor, but the gambling? what the hell does that have to do with how he plays footy?

Maybe he didn't know about it before Boozy Bec decided to let him know he has a gambling problem...

Get real.

As far as I'm concerned this season is over, regardless of how it pans out for the rest of the year. If we went all the way (lol) there would always be a blight on the season and quite frankly I prefer this year to be wiped from my memory banks. Having said that, I don't want to see us get towelled between now and September but put all the effort towards 2017. I just have this feeling there is more crap to surface yet though. Tonight's game? Well, I'm not pumped.

I'll tell you one thing, If I'm walking up to ANZ stadium come late September to watch the Eels play in the Grand Final I won't care one bit about what happened this season.

It won't bother me one bit.

Shackleton's Way. It's a book I read when I was starting to lead teams with my work. Shackleton was an Explorer who made a name for himself through his exceptional leadership. His explorations were long, dangerous and rarely successful but he became famous because of the team he built around him. Nobody ever died and he was always there at the end with his team.

Everything I see a Eels Bashing article in the media I can always see BA in front of his team and steadying the ship. He is a true leader. So underrated.
