Welcome to game day

I'm feeling fairly confident of winning and winning well tonight.
I think a few "brave' late mail selections would go a long way in putting some spark in our attack.

For mine, I would have:

Hutch at 6 (Not a Hutch fan but this would be his moment)
Milne at centre
Nighty at fullback and Mann on the wing (or visa-versa)
(with the Cutters playing on Sunday, it wouldn't be Impossible for them to back up either)

I'm prediction a 26-14 win for our boys.

Let's go Dragons

By the way let's all get there as early as possible and cheer on our U20's you'll be entertained for sure.

I like your selections. The team needs some zip and enthusiasm. Doust says that he believes in organic growth and reserve graders only being signed if they are capable of stepping up. Here's hoping that sanity prevails.

Mate Im not a big Hutch fan either , but I would give him a go . If they are not going to use him then why are we still holding on to him ....... Half 5/8 or even lock try something if he is in their plans for the next few years , if not let him go.....

Time to bite the bullet and select Hutch and young Dufty.Other coaches do put trust in the
Younger players with some good results.Just hoping I guess,as we do need something positive.

Organic growth sounds like something i stepped in on the way to work, paticularly when Doust talks abour it. I wouldnt mind seeing Hutch get another run but I'm sure it will be McCrone for Benji as McGregor won't want to upset the structure too much. And this is the one game I'd keep Lafai in the centres to keep a lid on Hurrell. So its probably going to be more good old Dragons footy but hopefully with a whole lot more attitude than last game.

Dragons by six.

I like those picks and hope they go with those, but I just can't see McGregor making those changes. He will play it safe most likely recall Lafai and play McCrone at half.

1. Mann
2. KFFL
3. Aitken
4. Milne
5. Nightingale
6. Widdop
7. McCrone

I don't think we should recall Lafai right now, but if we do he'll have a busy game trying to retain his position.

By Jack Brady (NRL.com)

Dragons forward Tariq Sims says he holds no regrets from his 100-game career so far following his unceremonious exit from the Newcastle Knights in June.

One month has passed since Sims arrived back at St George Illawarra after spending his junior career playing for the Dragons' Harold Matthews and SG Ball outfits.

Sims's return to the Dragons has been a homecoming of sorts after he packed up his bags soon after Year 12 in 2007 to leave for the bright lights of Brisbane.

Sims worked 10- to 12-hour days at the now-defunct Geon Printing while maintaining a handy under-20s career at the Brisbane Broncos. His hard work paid off in 2010 when he was awarded NYC Player of the Year honours.

With his first grade journey already spanning six years with stints at the Cowboys, Knights and now Dragons, Sims believes time spent in Brisbane set him up for a long NRL career.

"Moving to Brisbane was a real shock to the system but it was a time which taught me great morals to live by and it opened me up to the real world," Sims told NRL.com.

"I dashed off up north before I really had a good crack [at the Dragons] but I don't regret my decision to leave. I've learnt a lot of lessons and met plenty of lifelong friends.

"I learnt from the best in Brisbane and had my opportunity further north. Wherever I've been I've never looked back and thought 'oh geez, I wish I didn't do that'.

"I've always done things that were right by me."

Life back on the south coast has Sims enjoying the simple things in life.

"Over the bye weekend, I took my two daughters to a play area which I used to go knock around in when I was a kid," Sims said.

"To do those things is very cool so I'm really enjoying being back."

Helping the 26-year-old's cause is the way the Dragons have welcomed him back into the fold.

After a mixed first half to the season, Sims is looking to finish the year on a high in an unfamiliar middle role as a reunion with former Cowboys coach Neil Henry beckons.

"Neil Henry coached me for the first three years of my career and he definitely knows how to break a team down so they're one team I'm looking forward to matching up against," Sims said of the Dragons' clash against the Titans on Friday night.

"It's a chance to really build into the finals for me. The boys have been very open and welcoming, in helping me adapt to the structures of the playbook we have in place here.

"It's no secret we definitely have a power game and my shift into the middle has been one of a learning curve but one I've enjoyed."

Well, time has obviously dulled some of the anger from the last game as I'm pretty keen to watch tonight. I've even swapped domestic duties with the missus for the night just so I can watch it!

There have been a few games this season that were BIG games for us (Warriors and Manly spring to mind) where for whatever reason we weren't up to the task. In the context of our season, this is a big game.

Not confident...may get more so once the final team is announced. Hoping most of all to see the boys play some decent footy. The head, eyes and heart can't handle it if they dish up the same crap they did against Manly.

Dufty is playing for the under 20's.

Tony Pellow takes Garricks spot which is odd as they have named Efaraimo on the bench and Pellow is more a half who has played on the wing.

Efaraimo who can play centre or wing may be the backup dummy half as he has also played that spot.

Reece Robson is out also with Allouche starting and Jurd starts over Esau.
