Same shit at Accor today dogs start well and earn the whistle now the whole game is reffed with bias towards dogs, finals footy is different we don’t get it.

yep it astounds me why Fitzgibbon didn’t pick up on it early and adapt. It was obvious the whistle had been put away for officiating the ruck

You can challenge high shots can't you?

It's finals footy, stay down and challenge every single high shot. Surely that's a challange even our players could get right.

I’ve always assumed you can only challenge decisions made by the referee, not non decisions.

So if you get hit high and drop the ball and he rules a loose carry, you could challenge. But if they call nothing then you can’t challenge it.

According to the rules you can only challenge the decision which caused a stop in play.

But that doesn’t stop the Bunker from poring over everything in the lead up and penalising something else.

The players all know it and play for it.

We need the trainers getting into the player asap whenever they stay down.
If a player has had any head contact the trainer has the right to do their on field assessment.
Iv lost count the amount of times we stay down but give in and play on.

Agreed.

I can't remember which match it was, or which team (though I think it was the Dogs) but it seemed the instant a player stayed down the trainer was right there checking on them.
That bought time for the Bunker to have a look and, whaddya know, penalty.

I hate it, but when in Rome.

In the Warriors game, they just refused to play the ball when they got hit high. They actually threw it back to a team mate and said "nah - we not playing till bro blows the whistle". And they got the penalty.

Same in the storm game.

Nikora genuinely got hit high, stayed down clutching his head.... and nothing. Talakai got hit high... nothing.

And what about Hunt's penalty for hitting Grant around the chest and shoulders? I still don't know what that was for. The ref even warned McInnes that we have a game to play next week and need to be careful. Careful of what?

Are any of you suggesting that “Dazed and Confused” would voice anything other than “Oh well”?
