I actually feel bad suggesting this.
But I liked the Lussick and Wicks combo to start the game with Mannah coming on after about 20-25. Mannah has very good leg drive and could work well against the tired forwards.
Obviously tonight it was because he was concussed, but I thought it ended up working well for us.

Why feel bad?...he's not a protected species.....if it's the best option (against some teams in particular) that's what we should do.

you ever have anything positive to say??? He was just responsible for two excellent tries in a great backs to the wall upset win and still you find fault. So painful!!!

One of Parra's best wins in a long long time, we played dumb at times but boy did we play tough, with ticker and an excellent line speed which helped us smash one of the best packs in the comp. Well done lads so proud.

It's good that we won because if we hadn't that would mean that we lost. Or possibly drew, but that doesn't happen very often.

I dunno how much Watmough is responsible for, or who John Wicks is, but the line speed is hugely better.

Line speed was excellent and we suffocated their halves.

They looked well coached and well drilled. Credit to BA.

To think we have Tepai, Semi, Junior, Pauli, Fa'aoso and possibly Edwards to come back.

Like BA said though, means jack if we don't back it up next week.

I thought the refs had an ordinary game! Forward passes were missed and so too were penalties. How the refs missed the swinging arm from Lussick at a crucial time in the game as to with Reece Robinson's choke slam on Joel Reddy in the first half. Souths has numerous forward passes that weren't called and I think a few knock ons from both teams were overlooked as well.

It has to be a reportable offence to be put on report in that situation. I would say if his arm hit his chin he was in a lot of trouble, but because it was only neck and just a penalty in normal play they weren't able to penalise it.

Whether that is the right or wrong way doesn't matter, they are the current rules.

You can just be happy you didn't get someone in the bin for the professional foul on Robinson!

The reception Wicks got when he first interchanged off was awesome, he has been exceptional and I'm glad we are the ones who gave him his second chance.

Our defence didn't let up, we play like that next week against Souths and we'll put 40 on them easily imo.

The refs were atrocious in the first half against us but I thought in the second half they were just shit both ways. If the NRL has any "crisis" it is certainly the refs.

Taka has been outstanding all games this year imo, I really hope his leg isn't too bad.

We actually looked like we had a game plan tonight and even better we pulled it off. We showed every team how to beat Souths.

Darcy Lussick is a surprisingly good player when he gets that nonsense niggle and garbage out of his game and just concentrates on playing,i was never a fan of his but this year he is going really well.

That was a massive bonus at the time of the game that they didn't get that penalty - fourth tackle after a try. That could have been the game there.

When watching Parra play Im often correct when i think to myself, "damn, here come a another penalty". Last nights game had my instincts totally incorrect on a number of occasions. I honestly felt Parra got treated as other teams last night. For that reason Id say it was the best and fairest refereeing Parramatta have experienced in years. Sure there were the frequent forward passes from the "Startled Bunnies" but generally i was happy.
Thankfully tnat Pererara goose was nowhere to be seen last night.
