On a positive note, Dwyer is firing - sign that kid long term. Thank god Ellis will be back next week, and Gibbs will be better for the run. How they hell does anyone pick that pork chop Ennis over Farah.

I agree, but Farah isn't playing that hot lately, well not for the full 80 like he normally does, he had others doing a lot of his normal work throughout the game last night, I realise his injury isn't helping him, but hope he can last & I thought Marshal was similar, not fully involved in the game.

The team has had 2 shockers in a row, hopefully they get them out of their system now & fire to the semis? However, Souths & Penrith are always hard for us, so next week should tell us something.

What the hell is the go with the following things?

Our forwards running onto the ball out of dummy half? Half the time their running into Farah or he's running into them?

Mckinnon and Brown being the only two in the backline that ud want near a highball and still being worried about them dropping it

The amount of offloads and dropped balls we had working it out of our own half. Any decent team would have annihilated us for those mistakes last night

Noone ever backing up Fifitas runs. The guy seems to throw off at least two players every run. But theres never a player running through for the offload

The best combination right now seeming to be Marshall and Dwyer. Why cant any of our other second rowers run onto a ball like a practical rookie does (cant wait for Ellis to return)

Both our edges lacking spark. Brown and Ayshford look like they could form a far more destructive attacking combination then Moltz/Brown or Aysh/Utai as they both atleast have some speed and desperation in their game. I aint knocking Utais efforts but hes only good for bringing the ball out of our half.

Sorry Az, but Utai is not terrible for us. He's working harder at bringing the ball back than McKinnon and most of our forwards.

with the return of Lote and Ellis (and possible omission of Galloway) I reckon we should run with this side next week

1 - McKinnon
2 - Tuqiri
3 - Ayshford
4 - Brown
5 - Utai
6 - Marshall
7 - Moltzen
8 - Gibbs
9 - Farah
10 - Fifta
11 - Ellis
12 - Dwyer
13 - Heighington

14 - Fulton
15 - Murdoch-Masila
16 - Woods
17 - Shirnack

Dragons are going to take some stopping, we need better defence across the park. Moltzen is a marginally better defender than Lui. IF Moltz doesn't perform in this game, drop him to the bench the week after. Make it clear this is his one chance to cement his spot.

Fulton can play Centres and five-eighth at a stretch, if any backs are injured he can slot in there. Not a bad ploy with the likes of Cooper and Gasnier in good form, a solid defender slightly wider wouldn't be too silly.

What happened to Galloway? Injured? 22 minutes and never returned. Very disappointed with Lui, sometimes he is brilliant but god he is like a roulette table at the best of times!

I think it was concussion.

No foul play, a head clash or some such thing

I have never thought of Fulton as a solid defender. Go watch the lowlights of the match and right after Lui missed the easy tackle Fulton missed what should have been a straightforward tackle for a lock forward. This is not one off but is pretty indicative of Fulton's career. He is not a backline option as he lacks pace. He does not offer impact off the bench and these are probably the reasons he will not be at the club next year.

He's a better defender than Moltzen and no worse than Ayshford.

I don't think that can be denied.

I had a chuckle when Fulton missed the tackle and the Panthers scored because Moltzen made a good attempt to tackle the player. The look of outrage on his face directed at Fulton demonstrated at least Moltzen recognised how bad an effort it was by the team.

I like Moltzen as a player, but he should be the last person to show outrage for a missed tackle.

R2 you seem to know a bit about the juniors? I asked this earlier, any idea what there coaching staff consists of? i.e. do they have somebody (who knows what they are doing) giving the halves some one on one time?

I like it but would play Fifita off the interchange for impact against a tired defense. I would start Woods.
