If it helps rl expansion teams to enter the market, i think its great.
If the union club markets the game (simply on their website, social media etc) then they'll see paying fans lining up for the stadium entry during an otherwise slow period.

Which other teams could this work for? Coventry? Bristol?

League and Union are Different Games. Widnes Don't have any links with the very small and insignificant Widnes Rugby Union- What would be the Benefit- None.

We don't need links with Union. We need to control and manage our own sport

Leeds Carenegie were poorly supported despite the Leagues club given them great support

league strongholds just havent taken to union in any reasonable manner

RU is struggling in the north so perhaps more tie in with league can be to the latter;s benefit
