Gaz has played 160 minutes of football in total this season (60 mins versus Souths in CS, and 80 minutes versus the chocolate soldiers), so assuming he's on 500k, that's $3571.43 per minute. Not a bad earn if you can get it.

There should be a Gaz reality show...

Late night taxi rides, getting on the piss in the Footy Show green room, sponsors functions. Sounds great.

Stating the obvious maybe but I think Gaz would rather be earning his money on the field, I doubt being injured is a picnic. For what it's worth he played 23 games last season not including Origins or the Tri-Nations.

The richest player this year on a dollars-per-minute basis would be Matt Bickerstaff. Around $180k for zero minutes of first grade.

true that, but at the same time i would much prefer to be on becks salary...Gasnier must be so frustrated after getting fit enough to come back early to play one game just to get injured again. Same as Young

There used to be a clause in contracts if a player played zero minutes in a season he did'nt get his full contract money or so I am told .

QFT.

Let's not forget that when we had him, Bailey had two season ending injuries, although he did make the Penrith semi in 2004.

If anything, we should look at the training staff and their rehabilitation processes rather than Gas' injury.

They can look for a specialist in Oxford street . Yeth I'm your new physio Dr I Roberts . I shouldn't be so mean but some injuries are famous , who can forget the Kimmorly Testicle .

this is just a old man's opinion, but i would start rangi at 5/8, then when woolford goes off bring gaz off the bench, switch rangi to hooker, impact gaz from the bench it might keep him a bit fitter,or does this sound to complicated.

Old mens opinions are usually based on years of experience . If you want to play Gaz at 5/8th thats probably the best way to go about it given his fragile state at the moment .
