I'd love to see him in the NRL and he would be a sensation i reckon, he has got everything going for him and will continue to get better.

I'd hold off until the TN before heralding him as the new Morley or whatever. He's done very little at Test level since making his debut in the centres. His current form is good but will he keep it going?

I agree with Jason on this one and his current form has been outstanding. I think he would be a really good addition to any NRL side and would be great to see how he goes with the week to week intensity of the NRL.

First Test I remember him playing was against NZ in 2002 in the centres, second Test I think. Fact is the bloke's form has been patchy at best for several years. I'd like to see him in the NRL too but there'd be a good handful of other poms I'd be looking at first.

You've got the wrong guy there,Ellis made his test debut in the third Ashes test in 2004.

You sure?
It was when he was playing for Wakefield. He came in for Senior I think who got hurt in the previous Test. I've got the game on tape somewhere. I'll dig it out just to prove I'm right (or wrong :? ).

Yep it was third Ashes Test but in 2003. He came off the bench and played right centre for about the last 15 minutes. I'm sure I remember seeing him play well in the centres for GB on one occasion though and this was not it.

Lots of potential, that's for sure. Hope he gets the coaching and opportunity to develop it.

Tony Smith has said Ellis should be a front runner for MOS and I agree, he's been superb this year.

I reckon he'll be do himself justice in GB colours in the future.

Always been a fan of Gareth Ellis since he was captain at Wakefield. Amazing player who gives 100% week in and week out.

Definately wouldn't look out of place in either a GB jersey or in Australia
