Good thing for us is we have Maloney and Cleary to take control of the game, Cronulla really only have Moylan, Townsend just doesn’t do enough as his position should suggest.

When a teams on a roll with momentum m, that’s when Moylan is very dangerous, but I’m just not sold on him leading a team when it’s a real grinding game which is what semi’s games are about - he offers more than Townsend, but I just can’t see him always delivering when it’s needed.

Cronulla should have broken through in that final passage tonight but they basically just kept going sideways and offloading to players who were flat footed and unable to provide momentum, that’s where I see Jimmy directing the forwards, telling them which line to run and when to call for the ball, and his short kicking game is usually spot on.

That gives me confidence for us if we make September (one game as it comes folks)

Most of our issues have come from injuries. If we get them to stop we will be fine in the finals

I get the feeling this season has been so disrupted by our injury woes and the representative season that I am just not sure we can turn it around.

I think the damage has been done and realistically our chances of making the top four are not great.

I am aware a few back to back victories can change everything but it's going to be tough and even though the likes of Mansour is back along with RCG in a couple of weeks it is unreasonable to expect them to perform at there very, very best given the horrific nature of there injuries.

The Storm, Dragons, Roosters, Bunnies, Sharks & Bronco's have not had to cope with anywhere near the injury woes we have endured and in a far more healthy position going into the business end of the season.

After a promising start, this has been one of the most frustrating seasons of all in my time supporting the club given the serious injury toll.

Chad is the halback so he's suppose to be the organiser. There was one moment late in the second half Moylan got half through the line and went to offload which would have possibly won the game but no one followed through. For us it was Peachey against Raiders.

They might want to promote Moylan to goalkicker too. Atleast for important kicks. He's a bit better under pressure than Chad.

But both our kickers shit on all the options they have

He's not a great goalkicker in general. But he's as clutch as they get.

I wouldbsck him to nail a sideline goalafter fulltime for a win. But back him to miss from in front if the kick didnt seem important at the time

EDIT: Nevermind, OP already mentioned the 2014 Dogs game :p

Lost my vocal chords for a week after that one.

Also funny we can't mention you know who until it's time to stick it to him for not winning a game.

That game had a big bearing on where we finish. They missed an easy conversion and conceded one of their tries off an intercept. It was always going to be talked about.

General thread is perfect for that. It is when 3 or 4 threads become the same that it becomes annoying

Conversation seems to flow fairly organically on here which leads to off topic stuff regularly.
