Probably as good a time as any to discuss the events around Paul Kent as his being found not guilty.

As I suggested elsewhere, some time ago, he deserved his day in court and should not be a victim of the cancel culture world we now live in Until his court proceedings were finalised.

Well his court proceedings are finalised, he was acquitted and it would appear rightly so.

It will be interesting to see whether he gets his job back.

I’m not sure that is the point.

Given the outcome of the court proceedings should he get his various jobs back?

He should 100% in my opinion.

Im sure this has come at a great cost, not just from a financial cost, which would have been considerable, but on so many other levels.

It will be very interesting to see what eventuates.

Even if he does, does he go all balistic on TV or thru the media, about the type of women lying to harm personalities like what happened to himself, im sure that will go well for ratings, or just start attacking penrith again for not having enough swagger or too much

Not having his face or hear his voice or hear peoples discourse around his ratshit opinions has been a godsend these last few months.
Seperate issue.

You don’t enjoy his views or opinions on NRL 360 or DT that’s fine but isn’t about that.

Its a much bigger picture issue around whether someone deserves to lose there job or livelihood after being acquitted of the criminal charges for which they were stood down for.

Kent is not 'cancel culture'......He's just a small bloke, who is continually angry. He likes to bully others, especially players, and appears to be a 'nice human being'.
If he doesn’t get his positions back well he has been cancelled.

What you think of him as a person, journalist, media pundit is irrelevant he has been found not guilty of the charges preferred against him and on that basis alone I would think it is not unreasonable for him to be given his job or jobs back. That is surely the way our system of justice should operate.

I have to say following the evidence in court as reported in the media it is clear he was rightfully acquitted or at its worst the presiding Magistrate had no choice but to find him not guilt on the basis there was insufficient evidence to convict.

I understand what your getting at Kilkenny. I miss read your post. Sorry.

With all media closing off all comments about the case, it does point that at some stage he'll get his job back.
