We are definitely heading in the right direction. The improvement from the first month to the last was profound. Will provide a more detailed write up at the end of the season but we are primed for a run at the top 4 next season.

Walker needs to take off his dinner suit and actually take on the defence and dig in to the line. All he did was turn the ball back inside and flap his arms in protest to the referee He can't base his whole game around a few chip kicks.

He was very tentative last night for sure.

Just another indication that a year of DCE isn't a bad idea. He can organise everything and let Walker do his thing whilst he mentors him.

Hugo was never meant to play first grade this year and a year on the bench won't harm him.

Courtesy ex rooster lad at work.

The roosters are good at networking so these opportunities come up for the broader diaspora.

Someone somewhere has a ticket, knows a sponsor and a friend or whatever and you end up a la carte dining and free drinks etc.

Although I live for the hill. The rabble, the filth and the humour.

If i sit in level 2 in the members that is about the position i sit just below the boxes, it gives you a good sweep up the ground, if i go up to level 4 i will sit anywhere between the half way line to the around the 30 mtr line.

A very entertaining year and somewhat unexpected. For next year I would like to see Victor go back to lock his leg speed has disappeared and hopefully Steep and Foketi can pack on a few KGs and take over as the right edge backrower. The other player needs to improve is Billy Smith, his defence has been great but handling and discipline need to vastly improve. We have some great depth In the halves with Rodwell and Elliot coming thru. I'm not too sure of the depth of centres and fullback after losing King. Hopefully Malloy from Flegg can make the jump and provide some cover.

Good view from those locations.

Live game is better ..no commentary except mates.

Yes depth at FB is something that needs to be addressed.

Im not sure who would go in there if Teddy gets injured? Marky?

Savala will get plenty of game time.

Between concussions, maybe origin for walker, dce's age and sams durability you'd think he's getting atleast 10 games in the run on.

Add to that his utility value and that's another 20-30 per game as a third playmaker.

If Hugo has re-signed, he, would I assume be elevated to the top 30 squad.

As per the Roosters Club site they have 28 or 29 top 30 players signed for 2026 if Hugo is one of them and two development players in Reece Foley and Jake Elliot listed - not sure what contract Tom Rodwell is on though?

Tommy Talau a recent top 30 squad player signing and Rex Bassingthwaighte who is also on a development contract for 2026 are not listed.

So, 1 or 2 more top 30 spots to fill and at least 3 development players to sign. - The link says 2024 but this is the 2026 squad
