Getting tickets to an NFL Game??

Hey guys... heading to the US in November and hoping to catch an NFL game--- Bengals VS Steelers at Heinz Field is the one I am looking at. It's that or Jags Vs Jets at the Meadowlands but as a Steelers fan I'd rather take the 8 hour bus/train ride to Pittsburgh from NYC as it could be a once in a lifetime thing.

But I was wondering what is the best way to get tickets?

Cheers

.

i don't know if it's the best way but i'm pretty sure every main nfl news site has a tickets option in the season schedule or each teams page.

Don't they sell on the team websites?

Good question though. I met an American bloke at uni and he told me they were hard to buy so good luck!

Yeah checked the Steelers site and they have a tickets option but there is nothing there yet. Maybe its too early in the season. I have also heard to try stubhub.com and there are tickets on there but I'm not sure how safe them types of sites are.

best way to go?
'cos of season tickets demand and what not you can buy single tickets now. well. thats with san diego anyway.

another way to go is stub hub or ticket websites like that.

one other way is to ring em up and say "yeah im a tourist, big steelers fan, only here once, would be great if i could get a ticket"

id be trying all options as NFL tickets are hard to get.

In all serious hit up the front office with the tourist line. SERIOUSLY! Push the fact you are A) Coming from Aus & B) Going 8 hours out of your way to see this game.

If they dont help you out in any way possible I'd be very surprised. Even if it's just walking you through the whole process & picking good value seats it's better than nothing. But dont be at all surprised if the get you to do an interview or something for the site or smallish local paper. Generally clubs eat that stuff up as it's great PR & a quirky news story. Nothing major but better than nowt.

I know a couple of people who have done it & it has always come up trumps. Just an email & some subsequent follow ups & they were helped a great deal.

I understand your reluctance to send cash off to some unknown person. Another suggestion, don't know your plans or budget, but you should have a night out in Pittsburg before the game. I guarantee the locals will love you when you tell them you have come all the way from Oz to watch the Steelers. If you stay at a flash hotel, the concierge will be able to get tickets. Probably have them ready if you book in advance and tell them you want tickets. Anyway, have fun and enjoy the game.

Yeah can't get to Pittsburgh until the morning of the game. I fly into NYC on the 14th and plan on catching a Greyhound overnight to Pittsburgh.... was orginally going to just go to Jets VS Jags game but since the Steelers are my team I think its worth the effort as this might be a once in a lifetime thing.

Oh BTW was looking at stubhub and its like $40 delivery!!! Is there some way You can get them printed or pick them up LOL.

I have had success with Stubhub and eBay. You need to be on the mark to get them at face value on Ticketmaster. I would say most of the popular teams have single game tickets sold out.

I had my Colts Vs Cardinals Tickets delivered today from eBay. Got 4 Tickets 40 yard line, 19 rows up $600 including postage. Face value is $97.50 so not too bad.

Well I thought you had to go through ticketmaster ticket exchange but a friend told me they went straight to the regular ticket master site and I did and they have tickets there. Obviously they aren't the best tickets but what other Steelers fans keep telling me is there is no bad seat at Heinz Field :p

Just another question-- Lower level endzone seating, higher level endzone seating or high level seating on the sideline (between the endzone and 20 yard lines)... which would be better?

Personally I would go for high level on the sideline just to get a better view of everything that is going on but I have sat lower level endzone before and its fun especially when your team is in the redzone, plus at some stadiums players will throw stuff up as they walk off after the game if you are close to the action. If you are in to line play higher level endzone would be sweet too.
There is no bad seats at a lot of fields!

By the way with Stubhub I am pretty sure every major city has somewhere you can pick them up, you should look in to it. I picked some up in downtown Dallas only hours before kickoff once.

He's right. When I was 18, I was on tv, radio, in the newspaper, got sideline seats for free, met a bunch of players and went on road trip to an away game with the fan club free of charge. Good times. All I did was email the fan club asking for help on buying tickets to sold out games.
