In the 1930s I believe
His parents obviously had a sense of humour.

That's a good link in the 2nd post.
It shows all the Governor-Generals from Hopetoun to Hollingworth and where they were born.
It interesting that heaps were still born in Britain after Isaacs with the recent being Sir Ninian Stephen in the 90s.
