Bulls have have aquired 2 new players so far 1 being an ex NFL football player, and the other 1 being on the USA high school union team in the early 2000's.

More to come on the players at a later date.

It's good to hear that teams are getting quality imports - but I'd be much more excited if The Fight or Warriors had signed an NRL veteran than hearing the Bulls and Wildcats are getting even stronger.

No that does not mean that the Bulls will be feilding any unregistered players. The Bulls every year have 3 to 5 international players. Last year they had 2 australians, 1 English, and 1 islander. The Bulls are definetly bring back 2 australians, and thier is a possabilty of another English kid.

The Raiders and Wildcats always bring 5-10 international players every year also. They do a great job getting international players.

The internation players the Bulls bring over are in addition to the International halves they have that live in the US.

I believe they are the two individuals that you our refering to.

However; both are US citizens. Dave started the league 8 years ago, so the Bulls did not bring him over.

Yes, Vassy was brought over to play with the Bulls. He has also been an employee at the Glen Mills School for almost 4 years, and has gotten married since then. So it is not like Vassy has a temp. visa and comes to the US just to play for the Bulls. He has came here to stay here.

Last year the wildcats only had 1 player that was specifically brought in to play rugby league, and that was andrew webster. the other foreigners on the pitch were either guys that happen to live and work in the area, some have permanent residence some do not. Others are imported players from rugby union clubs that wanted to give league a go. Either way i think that it will be important for the amnrl to start to make changes in how many foreigners are allowed per team as well as the number of substitutes if we wish to develop as league playing nation

From what I understand the AMNRL has put a cap of 4 import players per team. This is basically anyone who is not either a citizen or living here on a permanent type basis. So, the short version is, if you are not a USA Citizen or you don't have a permanent work visa or permanent resident status you will be an "import".

Actually we brought in 2 players and one got hurt in the first 5 minutes of his second game. The other 2 where here to play rugby onion.
