It's England's national anthem. God Save the Queen is the British national anthem.

VBFG, I have read that GSTQ is not officially the UK national anthem because it has never been passed in an Act of Parliament nor a Royal Decree. Is that true?

Is it fair that Great Britain can select its team from 4 different countries?..maybe Australia should team up with New Zealand - then it would at least 2 against 4.

from what i understand the terms 'nation' and 'country' are different
GB is made up of the nation-states of england, wales, and scotland
whilst ireland is now independent
so really it is the country GB plus Ireland (hence the name GB & I)
however i believe it is important to include ireland for historical purposes
