the new proposal by koucash, i think its a smash

realistically the weaker SL clubs cant compete with the top ones anyway

this system keeps them from over spending but allows the rich one to have marquee players.

at least under the good Drs, proposal the poorer clubs can sell their marquee entitlement for whatever a rich club can offer.

this will certainly keep more players in SL rather than having it drained by the nrl.

deluded pom?

Not a fan of the marquee player idea. The game in the UK can't currently afford to throw more money than the SC at players. It would also breed resentment among team mates if one is being paid far more than his colleagues IMO.

Never knew that the english union crowd are allowed to exclude one player from the cap and also have 0.5m in academy credits for club trained players.

imo super league needs to act sooner rather than later and build more flexibility into the cap. It may only benefit the likes of leeds, wire, wigan and saints at the moment but at least then they can make a play for elite players with their financial power. As if they aren't far ahead of the smaller clubs anyway.

The fact that there is no reserve competition is a joke in itself. The governing body needs to be strong with how the new deal money is spent so that reserves and academy leagues are fully funded.
