Apparently has a broken arm, so that should be his last game for us. I doubt it will be a pleasant memory for him. Why wasn't he pulled off?

Because the coach only had two forwards on the bench all game long and bickers stuck it out through neccesity.

Hearty performance from him.

No, that's what I mean Sully. His injury cost us 2 tries. Why wasn't he replaced?

Sullivan was simply disgraceful yesterday, too small, too slow and too many simple mistakes.

Very very harsh Wobby. Everyone has bad games but I think that he has had far more many good than bad. All players do, even the greats.

while i am no big fan of sullivan and consider him overated - this is a little tough

he did set up a try with smart passing and it was easy for them to mark him as our only ball player on the day

Sully had a go, can't blame him for going out there and trying to spark our attack.

As for Bickers - Saw him after the game, he looked shattered, but no mention of the broken arm. I asked him about contract negotiations, and it seems the Sharks have asked him to make sure they get a 'last chance' to sign him, depending on what other clubs come up with.

IMO, another forward was needed on the bench yesterday - NOT Aitken.

Sullivan was far from being our worst yesterday. I thought he tried hard.

You can't blame yesterdays performance on one player. The team as a whole had a shocker, too many dropped balls, the usual soft defence on our own line etc

Merritt was deadset useless. On the matter of Bickerstaff, he's a player that does the ork and tries hard - worth re-signing for depth, and we'll never forget his heroics in destroying the Dragqueens (finals '02).

Bickers has not lived up to the heroics since that game - has been an honest hard working inter-change player at best, wish him all the best somewhere else

mcsharkie got it wrong

he's fine for this weekend as reported in some other thread

the game against the dragons in 2002 was by far his best. but i still think he gives us alot. he just needs some confidence and he'll be playing like Ice

Reefy hates and ignores me, not the other way round. I disagree with many of Reefy's opinion's but I still find him a valuable source of info.
