I go to UWS Nirimba. I never hear anything about a rugby league team there.

It's a shame few people know about the Tertiary Competition. I went to the GF two years ago and found it a great experience, like a school carnival on steroids. Very tribal but also friendly. If UNSW ever rejoined the fold I think the tribal element of the competition could be something to be build on.

They were re-admitted a few years ago and then for various reasons rejoined the Souths local comp. Travelling seemed to kill them. They had Ron Sigsworth coaching them and they won in 2nd Grade in 2000. They were promoted to firsts in 2001.

I'm aware of the history re; UNSW. It's just that they would complete the competition if they joined.

The rivalries between unis at student level is there and it is friendly. For students, Uni RL could complement the piss ups quite well.

Hey Chile, ask Yak about his Collarbone.... ;-)
It was a nice sunny day at Leichardt, and i have to say that Yak's team probably gave all they could...
The day was marred by too many injuries and a Macquarie player mooning the crowd :|

The Nirimba side trains and plays on Kellyville oval, just on Memorial Ave up the road from the acctually university itself (only cause the Uni doesn't have grounds with lights on it so the side can train).

Whilst the season is over for this year you guys should definately pop down to the club next year, even to watch or maybe even play!
