Thanks mate,
The boys can do well if their heads are in the right place!
The last couple of weeks the team got a little ahead of themselves (in my opinion)
They were looking a bit too far ahead, and as we have seen in this competition, you have got to focus 100% on each game. The Storm game derailed us a bit with the grapple and the absurdly narrow field dimensions which really affected us as the tigers like to spread it wide, so we kept running out of room.
The panthers game was a real disapointment. The strong start only to be run down by a team who were more hungry just shows how attitude can play a big part.
Sheens tried his best to keep a lid on things, always playing things down, which I guess is the best thing to do with such a young inexperienced team! It was only a matter of time before the team began believing all the hype written about themselves in the tabloids etc, and complacency took its toll.
Hopefully the last 2 matches will be the reality check the boys needed to bring back the hunger and concentration.
I'm stoked to be in the final series, finishing 4th is a huge achievement for Wests, but I will be a bit upset if they can't make a fist of things now!
Cheers
