Goodwin by the raiders as we just scraped home, the beutifull efort from Goodwin with hi sleaping takes in defense saved us from a score line that could of ended with the raiders losing.
keep this guy in first grade.

He played well in patches tonight and made some clangers, but I'd be inclined to think that he has the goods.

Betcha he finishes the season at fullback.

He looked alot safer under the high ball than zillman has so far. Just seems like the natural fullback. Be interesting to see what happens.

Looked like a natural first grader too. I don't think he'll be playing too many more games of PL in his career.

Zillman at centre wont quite work imo, maybe as a winger but not centre.

And why the sudden rush to move bronx to fullback, i know its his best position but i'd be keeping him on the wing for a few more games.

having zillman in the side and at fullback is a bonus in itself.
His a natural match winner, so too bronx as we saw that leap n bat back for purtell.

Campese was brilliant a few weeks ago, his form has faltered though. Goodwin and Milne were great last night, but I'd be interested to see if they were pumped from finally being called up, or whether they can keep it up.

Spot on.

I've got as high hopes for these two as the next bloke, but I think it's a bit early to blow wind up their arses right now.

Having said that, it was unreal to see two guys on the wing that were going flat out to a) get to the ball and b) run with the damn thing.

We're a team that needs to play with energy to make things happen and it was nice to see some of that come into the team. I already can't wait for the Dragons game...

Goodwin looks a good defensive player on first look at him, plus he's solid enough to take a battering from forwards returning the ball. I'd like to see Zilly move to wing, where he wouldn't cop such a hammering and he could use his footwork on wingers and centres witha licence to roam in field and create some havoc!

Words of wisdom. One good game does not a season make.

I think both Goodwin and Milne played well and handled the step up admirably. However, Bronx had a few clangers, but from what I;ve heard that is part of his game.

I'd leave Zilly at fullback. He has done little wrong and does not deserve to be punted for a kid who is still yet to cement a NRL spot.

For what its worth, I like the look of Milne, he was the most potent winger we have had all year. Pace to burn! Bronx deserves a go next week too.

Milne's try was great, we so rarely score tries like that one anymore. He just backed himself to get the line and turned peachy inside out.

Yeah I wish Milne all the best for a good future with us, it is why i thought we should tried to keep robinson as he was a consistant player when he was down here, didnt do anything special but was a safe winger.

I spoke to Bronx last week and he was chuffed to play first grade.

Said he is confident he will be retained for next week.

Him, Dobson, Carney, Turner and Howell were having lunch at the Belco Mall. Howell looked fine and didn't seem to be in any pain or favouring his stomach?
