Gould's Theory proves to be wrong

There are always exceptions, but the rule is still plausible. Utai, El Masri, and especially Slippery Morris are wonderful players, but most coaches would take a Wendell Sailor, Lote Tuquiri or Eric Grothe Sr before them. Size matters.

meh - Grothe is the best there's been... but as my other winger I'd have Kerry Boustead (sp?) above the likes of Sailor.... size matters, but you can be small and great too

His theory seemed to work out alright in SOO.

Even now, the likes of Paul Bowman, Josh Hannay, Shane Elford and Pat Richards are not necessarily small men.

Have you ever seen the guy in person? He's freakin' massive! I allways see him and Bailey walking around Wollongong hand-in-hand and Cooper is ALOT bigger then Bailey

lol

Bailey=108kg

Cooper=92kg

Ty Williams=90kg but he's a small back?

The only small backs in the grand final is Bowen and Hodgson. Sing is above the small backs range.

Gus hooked onto this theory big time after SoO where NSW's big backs did dominate. But it was probably QLDs poor defensive line and tendency to wait on their heels more than anything that lead to the domination of the NSW backs. QLD backs should have been moving up a lot quicker.

But Chucky is right, Gould can come up with some theory and flog it to death. His theory that Gasnier is a football god forced all of us watching Nein to put up with him pointing out how Best was somehow responsible for Marshal's first try.

Even though Cooper is nowhere near as big as Bailey... he may well have greater upper body sculpture, which makes him look "bigger"...

Ty Williams is not small... but he's not big either...

Weight is very deceiving, as darker people tend to have greater muscle density...

Yes, that is true, but he does know a thing or two about the game...

Thats the problem...

He ONLY knows a thing or two...

The amount of times i've heard him say "The second kick is always the most dangerous"... ](*,)

Once somethings in his head, he just goes on and on and on...

That's true. Every time gus thinks up some catchy phrase, he never shuts up about it. Especially when it actually happens again (which is rare.)
He obviously knows alot, but he thinks he knows alot more than he does.
