Wests Tigers forward Tim Grant says his side have been their own worst enemy as they look to bounce back from three consecutive losses this week against the Knights.

After starting the year with wins over the New Zealand Warriors and Manly Sea Eagles, Wests Tigers have suffered three close defeats in the past few weeks. And while Grant believes that nothing has changed in terms of the structure or game plan, the 28-year-old emphasised the need for his side to improve their ball handling and discipline on Sunday.

"I think just a few errors have cost us a lot in the last few weeks," he said.
"We've had five games this year and I think we've led all five of them in periods.*

"So I think the hardest opponent we've played this year has been ourselves.
"That's no disrespect to the other teams but we've competed and been right in it in all of our games but we've killed ourselves with a few errors and stuff like that.
"The effort is there, but it's the NRL, and we're here to win."
While the Knights come into Sunday's game without a win in their opening five games, Grant said he was thoroughly expecting the home side to be incredibly tough competition.
"Newcastle haven't been playing that bad," he said.
"We've had a look at their stuff and they've been working hard for each other and having a real good crack at it, so it's another challenge for us this weekend."

I don't think I've ever seen a Tigers player / staff member talk so much sense in one interview

Great signing this bloke is turning into, starting to like him more each week.
