The Cairns Taipans have made one of the most significant announcements in the clubs seven-year history by welcoming on board Regional Internet Australia as Naming Rights Sponsors for the next three years.
A six-figure investment by Regional Internet Australia reinforces the rise of the Cairns Taipans as one of the premiere clubs in the National Basketball League.
The club, now named the Cairns Rawnet Taipans are excited about the sponsorship and the investment in the future of the club by Regional Internet Australia.
"The sponsorship is the biggest investment in the club's history and we could not be happier to welcome such a vibrant and exciting company as Regional Internet Australia on board," said Chairman of the Cairns Rawnet Taipans, John OBrien. "They are at the cutting edge of technology and will revolutionise the way we work and play in this country. The Taipans are also on the verge of something big and we look forward to enjoying a long term partnership with RIA."
Regional Internet Australia is an innovative North Queensland based Internet Service Provider delivering DSL2+ (High Speed Regional Broadband) and wireless 3G broadband to residential and business subscribers in regional Australia.
