well here it is... after Clyde's success in the previous lock position.

Once again the winner (if he is a standout) will go through, the others who have polled ok will go into a secondary poll.

Fire away...

I went Rubes after a long battle in my mind. Furner was a favourite, and toots still is, but Rubes was just awesome for this club. I really hope toots is the other, but we'll soon find out.

i was watching some old footage today - i reckon Davico was the much better forward than Wiki. i think it took Rubes some time getting used to the forwards, and when he did, he wasn't quite as effective as the mighty Davico. i can't believe we lost him. f**k! this is a bloody hard vote. i'll go...shit, its hard. David Furner.

well, i think it's clear who the two second rowers are gonna be...then again, some of the oldies might go for Lance.

I voted for Croker because I knew everyone would vote for Wiki and Furner and I really wanted Toots to get a starting spot.

I agree Davico was awesome, only his handling ever let him down. I do think Wiki was the better of the two though, because of the frequency of hits he makes in defence. Davico made some big ones too, but not as often as Rubes. Plus on his day Wiki was a match winner, that can't be said of Davico. Why the club 'released' Davico I'll never know.

does thickos vote?

Yes, yes I do. Just as greeneyed does. I'm just babysitting this thread until he returns.

BTW I went Toots as well, just to help his tally along. Most tries and most games for the club - the longevity speaks for itself.

I voted Ruben. My next vote will be for Dean Lance. Lance was all heart and a bloody good, tough backrower. I think he was better than Furner and Croker, as much as I like them two.

I reckon Greeneyed will do his nut if Lance doesn't get a spot. I tend to agree with him but I guess this is an open vote/forum that we can't really complain at others opinions.

Furner was incredibly underated. I remember in 98 and 99 he basically carried the entire team on his own back. Its a joke he only played 1 test.

Unfortunatly such has been our great backrow Toots probably wont make the run on team, however he is a deadset cert. for the bench IMO

I voted Furner. He was a great player for Canberra, NSW and Australia. Had a great step, hit like a truck and could kick goals from anywhere. Was tough as nails too. That brawl he had in Origin (I forget against who) is still shows he could throw a decent right hand too :D

After 24 votes, it's looking pretty clear cut that the 2 to go through are Wiki & Furner - will there be any challengers to come out of the blue?
