[FONT=&quot]The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring: The film that introduced most of the world to Tolkien's beautiful fantasy epic. Perhaps slower than the two which would follow it, but there was still something magical about seeing Middle Earth for the first time.

Das Boot: A critically acclaimed WW2 classic out of Germany, this is still seen as one of the greatest German films of all time and launched the career of Wolfgang Petersen.

Back to the Future: Who didn't love this slick, witty, and sentimental classic from Spielberg? The soundtrack, the concepts, and the characters have become part of pop culture.

Stand By Me: Few people realise that this is a Stephen King adaptation (of his worst short story, in my eyes) - but this feel good, bittersweet tale of friendship has managed to transcend his 'gory roots' and become a firm family favourite.

Rosemary’s Baby: One of the better received horror flicks out of what was something of a 'golden age' for the genre. I've not seen it.

Rocky: While it's not the most critically acclaimed flick in this group, I'm almost certain it will progress given the users we've got here. A sporting epic.

No worries. I'm something of an obsessive, so creating lists and tracking data interests me

This group was hard for me. Loved Fellowship, loved Back to the Future, and loved Stand By Me. I figure Fellowship will go through fairly comfortable, so sent my vote to 'Future.

Back to the future. I liked the second Back to the Future the best but I like all 3.

Tought one, between Rocky and BTTF for me...

Since BTTF was leading, I went Rocky.

Stand By Me is my pick out of a tough group. Great movie.

Das Boot a close second. Arguably the best war movie ever, a true story, and I'd recommend the book to anyone. Particularly if you think that poncing around in a submarine during a war is a bit of a doddle.

Is The Grudge 2 any good? It's starting on Foxtel right at this moment ... should I watch it?

No body would have survived the movie gallipoli. Mel was destined for a French grave, and he knew it at best.

Now that was a great movie. Peter WEIRS " gallipoli "

The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring: Never seen any of the series, nor do I have any real motivation to.

Das Boot: I'll try to catch this movie one day.

Back to the Future: Who didn't love this slick, witty, and sentimental classic from Spielberg? I didn't....mainly because of the two leads. I found Lloyd and Fox two of the most irritating actors around that time. However, I do admire Fox as a person though and hope things get better for him.

Stand By Me: I thought it was ok. Never really hit the spot with me.

Rosemary’s Baby: Never seen it, but want to.

Rocky: An inspirational film. Stallone has delivered three great performances in his career. Copland, First Blood and this movie.

Another one wraps up, and Fellowship breezes through. Rocky had a tougher time than I expected, only narrowly edging out the very cool Back to the Future series.

Unfortunately, the only one of the Back to the Future films to make the cut was the first
