Greatest year since 2005

If we win our last two games we would have had our best year since 2005 when we took the minor premiership.
We ended up on 28 points in 2009 - 30 points in 2007(5th) and 28 points in 2006.Making the finals those 3 yrs.

2005 well that's 10 seasons ago.The fact we potentially could miss the 8 on 32 points is misleading to the year we have had.The best in 10!

in 09 we won 15 games after the final series was completed, this year its only 12 so we would have to win 3 more to be considered even and you would probably still consider 05 greater because we made the GF. Now if we made the 8 winning the next two games then were able to make the semis it would be better then 05.

Finished on 29 points in 09. The 1 point from the draw made all the difference as our F&A was well under those on 28 points

And unless there are a lot of upsets it is likely that winning the remaining two will get us a home final.

The home final situation is interesting this year. With the closeness of the comp at the moment we could play anyone, anywhere at the moment. A final at ANZ against the Dogs or Penrith could be interesting

Pretty much, for the back half of that season, the stadium was full and rocking. Crowd was buzzing before kick off.

We haven't reached those heights yet, and that's not a criticism of what has been a tremendous year.

It really is, quite remarkable considering the last three years that, with two games to go, our finals hopes are in our own hands. Not sure many people on here truly believed that would be the case at the start of the year.

Yep, it's amazing to be inside the 8 on our own steam with two rounds to go. I don't think anyone could have realistically hoped for more out of this season.

Arthur has done a great job of getting the best out of the squad he inherited, giving debuts to young guys only as and when they were ready, and the next few years are looking promising.

Before the season began I thought we would start ok, get some wins but then lose steam after the halfway point and finish in around 11th-12th.
For a little while it looked like that might happen, but to our credit we've come to the end of the season with a very real chance of making the Finals. It is certainly a better year than I expected.
