Just got back from their concert. THEY WENT OFF! :shock:

It was so amazingly good, The Metro was rocking!

Did anyone else go?

I went to the brissie concert at the Arena with miccle. You're right, they did go off! I was really impressed actually, they sounded very tight. Mixed the old stuff in well with the new album. I think Grinners played for just over an hour but it seemed a lot less than that, thats my only complaint, the night went waaay to quickly.
Phil was sensational as always with his crazy 'dancing' lol.

I was also quite impressed with the Camels, I like their sound. A lot of their stuff sounded quite familiar, I'm not sure if thats becuase I actually knew their songs or because they dont really have their own distinctive sound. They were good though.

Shifter were absolutely shite. No more needs to be said.

It was a great night - though I totally agree with you about the time going faaar too quickly. I'd also LOVE the grinners to throw in a track or two off Guide to Better Living. I know they aren't really as good as all their new ones, but hearing Pressure Tested, Railrider or even Post Enebriated Anxiety would be tops. Stoked that "Champion" is still a regular in the set though... I would've deadset cried if they didn't play it.

Is it just me or does anyone else not like Pat? I have no idea what it is about him, but he just shits me. I hate the sight of him, and when he opens his mouth I want to throw things at him. I have no basis for my anger, he just really pisses me off.

Is it just me or does anyone else not like Pat? I have no idea what it is about him, but he just sh*ts me. I hate the sight of him, and when he opens his mouth I want to throw things at him. I have no basis for my anger, he just really pisses me off.

lol serious? Pat's a champ. He is the only guitarist I've seen that doesn't move/jump or sway to the music when playing. Also because he wears a hat indoors at night is a pissa He goes to the same hairdresser as Peter Sterling I think. Phil is a legend but is a bit of a queer onstage and in interviews. Is it just me or does he sound and look really camp on the Grinners DVD?

I find him absolutely hilarious hey. He's usually wearing the coolest outfits (though he's the only one who could wear them, really) and nail polish etc. I love it - he has actual personality, not like a lot of these "rock stars" today 8)
