Hi, I was reading someone else' Tele and it had a small article about Eric Grothe possibly having a bone problem, something like Osteo P?? Said it could keep him out long term.

Similar problem to what Orford and Morrison have had. Its not serious however the pain can be. Not sure of the treatment though. Osteo Pubitis I think is its correct term

Thats right Belly, however this has been whats holding him out. Its a week to week thing and if properly managed there isn't a problem. However the article basically said that the pain has increased in severity since the very first round. He could well play this weekend and hardly walk by the following week.

Colonel's got it, Osteo Pubitis. It's a difficult problem to overcome and very hard to say when he will be over it, hence the week to week diagnosis. I think rest is the only treatment for it.

I doubt very much he will be back next week.

With the season gone, I don't see much point in putting him back on the field this year. If a few months off will help for next year, then maybe extended time off will be for the best?

exactly. give him the time off to get back to 100% in time for a fresh onslaught on the premiership in 2005. Sad but true...
