I read with great interest in the Country League section in the Telegraph today that the prodigal son - the great Owen Craigie - is playing league for Inverell in Group 19 this year. Travelling from Newcastle every weekend to play. Hasn't missed a game yet (mind you that is only 4 thus far). No word what position he's been playing, no idea what condition he's been in, still only 31 years old (amazing for a guy who won a premiership in 1997).
The guy had unlimited talent. In the fine spirit that we have seen in the club playing Doogs, perhaps we can give Owie a call for next year. Give him a chance to find some condition - mind you there are plenty of McDonalds restaurants between Newie and Inverell...
There you go - potentially problem solved!
