Gus is of the humble opinion that it was a Penalty Try.

He wasn't sure about what the decision should have been was he?

That's what I love about Gus; his humility and the fact that even when he is unsure, he believes that the process will ensure the right result will eventuate.

I really can’t fathom the thought process of anyone who doesn’t think it was a penalty try.

Like what would have needed to happen in their mind to actually award one?

I think almost all commentators show bias during origin. It’s that one game where you can’t hide it.

Gus has a rugby league knowledge base that far exceeds most others. His opinion on the matter was correct. I'm sure he lost sleep knowing some qlders were huffing and puffing about his delivery.

If you want bias and uninformed neanderthal opinion, watch Fox.

Whether or not it was a penalty try or not we don't need some egomaniac agenda pushing wanker repeating over and over 'penalty try'.

Gould is a moron and any one who thinks he isn't is a bigger moron.

Um
He is a pain in the arse and a wanker and a merkin and tool bag and a fat egotistical cock smoker.... but a moron?
Nup.
He knows footy better than most.

Exactly. You should be thankful the likes of Fatty, Lockyer, Lewis, etc, we're silenced for most of the night. Gus was the only one in that commentary team batting for NSW.

I can live with the call but I reserve the right to point out that Boyd Cordner is a pathetic low merkin diver, a diver who took a dive, faked getting knocked over to manipulate the outcome, a cheat if you will. A successful cheat, but a dirty low-down javelin-headed grub of an unsportsmanlike piece of excrement who is willing to trade the spirit of the game for a few seconds of fleeting glory by pretending to be obliterated by a tiny halfback who barely moved.

You didn't see Gavin Cooper's epic dive?
