They are frustrating to watch but they got there in the end.. Should have had it won at half time.Thought this game was on at 7:30 so made no arrangements to go as the Dragons are on then. Crowd was poor as, worst ever for the Roar?

Yep, worst ever. Even worse than last week's worst ever.

Maybe Roar admin should look at moving games someplace where people don't have to pay $40 to see two teams full of relative nobodies play a sport that isn't particularly popular at club level in Australia?

Ballymore is the only alternative.. Lang park is more convenient but there are obviously costs issues with them which is a shame.. It's the best venue in Australia IMO

Undoubtedly. But nobody should have to fork out $40 to see a game of club football. It's ludicrous.

Why was I the only person who saw this happening with crowds?

anyways, on the pitch, I enjoyed the game, Cant believe how good we are at creating chances and then f**king them up. we do it so much and have done it since opening day of the A-League. Van Dijk is rubbish imo. Henrique was awesome.

Adding new clubs has nothing to do with crowds dropping, though. Not to mention that, as has been said a dozen times before, crowds have always been low while the season overlapped with the NRL/AFL seasons.

What were the local events on that the commentators were talking about as a reason for the crowd? There was no ALF or NRL on here on the weekend.

an arugment was the talent would be spread thinner, quality diluted and therefore smaller crowds.

Arguably, the quality this year is far superior than any of the previous seasons IMO.

Crowds are a worry though. Especially the two new clubs and Brisbane. Adelaide also would concern me if they keep losing.

On the plus, the Newcastle crowd looked decent on the box, Perth with a couple of home wins might start to see some decent crowds and if Sydney keep winning people will come back to the SFS.

It did clash with the Titans v Tigers game... First Roar home game I've missed in 2 years...

Seriously, who's the scheduling genius who thinks 3pm Saturday is a good time for football?

Football is the most played sport at a junior level in most states, and prime game time is Saturday between 9am and about 5pm.

Good to see it only comes up once more throughout the rest of the year though.

I doubt that had much impact on the crowd..

Well there was me, and another mate that usually goes... so thats 2. ;-)

The only other "event" i can think of was bridge to brisbane the following morning.

I got the impression they were talking about local football finals.. Probably just making excuses.
