Hall of Fame

Anyone else been to the Hall of Fame? I went last weekend and it went above and beyond my expectations. I arrived in Canton at 1PM and I wish I got there sooner because the only reason why i left the HOF was because it closed. So much cool shit.

I started looking at the early days memorabilia which was fascinating and they had stuff from every decade in the games history, but then some guys that worked there came around and let everyone know that they were doing a presentation on random memorabilia they had in the hall, so I went to that which was awesome and then they let us know there was another presentation later on about teams that were once in the nfl but folded or moved cities which was also pretty cool.

Besides all that, there's heaps of cool stuff there. I'll post up some pictures later on. They have all of the superbowl rings, the superbowl trophy is there. The busts were interesting, some guys who got inducted ages ago (Johnny Unitas for example), their busts don't like very much like who they are meant to look like, however newer ones (Cris Carter for example), look exactly alike.

They have a room with the memoribilia of the most recent inductees, there is interactive stuff like madden, you make the call (go into a review booth and review certain plays to see if you get it right), pick the next play (up to 10 people can sit and pick which play will be called next on the screen). They have superbowl theater, random stuff like compare your hand size with dudes like Warren Sapp.

If you guys go to America and have a spare day here or there, I recommend a visit. I stayed in Cleveland with the only reason being of going to the hof and it was worth it, even though Cleveland wasn't very nice haha.

I have been twice and share in your enthusiasm for it. Cleveland has the Rock and Roll HOF but other than that it is pretty drab. Pittsburgh, Columbus and Cincy are much more fun and have major universities so have better pubs, clubs, shopping etc.

As a Raiders fan how did you find it??

If you want to go just for Raiders stuff, there's of course the busts of all of the players, John Madden and Al Davis, there's all 3 Raiders Superbowl rings, there's a shrine to Tim Brown and there's the jersey Marcus Allen wore at Superbowl 18.

Good stuff

Honestly, I have no real interest in visiting the U.S as a country itself (other than maybe New York). All my interest of going there is going to see Lions/NFL. Holiday to Detroit..... I'm tipping not many people have said that before.
