I thought I'd come out of retirment and make a special guest appearance.
Besides....I'll be better for the run and with the MLB carnival coming up I'm one to watch.
I know that Brett Company is still operational and that you're all still part of the unit.

MLB Rce 3 numbers 12 and 14 My Girl Helen and Miraculous Miss.

MLB Rce 4 number 9 Bocuse.

Interesting race as it's too short for Apache Cat in my opinion.
He stormed home last time over the 1200 so how's the chop in distance with 1000 sprint going to assist him today?
He needs 1400.
And it's interesting that BRS's Paprika is down there today too.

MLB Rce 6 numbers 7 and 16 Chasm and All American.

Tears I cry has Ms C Puls on it today, they've given Berriman the boot, so miss Puls wants to super glue her lips to my doodle and have a permanent relationship.
Did I ever tell you about the time Bernadette Cooper rode Sex Machine in - Nevermind.

MLB Rce 7 Quinella 1 with 4 and 8.

MLB Rce 8 numbers 11 and 16 Hoorang and Dandaad.

Oh yes....Dandaad! He's one to watch.
My early MLB Cup tip right now is to keep an eye on Dandaad over the next couple a months, ok?

MLB Rce 9 number 10 La Goulue.

BRS

Jockey challenge goes to J. Bowditch.

BRS Rce 3 numbers 3 and 4 Demanding Miss and Incremental

BRS Rce 4 numbers 9 and 12 Mr. Style and Pinnacle Ridge.

The Daily Double in BRS today will go Heart of the Citi into Meet George, Jacaranda Charm or Queen of Asia.

What happened to all the gun Sydney 3yos?

Young first time at the track. Not many excuses for Trusting. I think Denmans been up for too long and had a tough run. So You Think was a decent run.

How good was Alcopop. Outstanding turn of foot. Huge chance in the Cup if it goes there.

Very impressive was Alcopop, I wasn't that convinced by Whobe's win in the Yalumba. It got all the runs and only beat Baughurst by 1-2Ls.

The Sydney 3 year olds were purely and simply not good enough on the day. As for Whobe's win, while i still think he'll be in the Cox Plate up to his ears, i'd be more inclined and will be taking the $9.50 on offer for Heart of dreams as opposed to $2.80 for Whobegotyou.

I don't think HOD got all the favours in the run yet arguably hit the line stronger so i can't see why there's such a big price difference between the two. That said Whobe has won something like 4 from 4 at the Valley so obviously loves the StrathAyr.

Maldivian is still the one to beat in the Cox plate, pretty happy with my 15's :)

Would've been a huge chance but not anymore unfortunately.

STAR Galloper Maldivian's Spring Carnival is finished after breaking down this morning .

Last year’s Cox Plate winner pulled up with heat in a tendon after trackwork this morning and trainer Mark Kavanagh announced immediately that Maldivian’s spring was over. Maldivian was regarded as a leading chance in both the Caulfield Cup and the Cox Plate on Saturday week.

"Maldivian worked well on grass this morning but on cooling down was found with heat in his near side front tendon," Kavanagh said in a statement. "It has been discovered he has a tear of 12.5 per cent and he's out for the Spring Carnival. "He will be assessed thereafter." Maldivian seems cursed by the Caulfield Cup as he was a sensational late scratching when favourite in 2007 after smashing his head on the barrier stalls.

It was woeful morning at the track on two fronts for Kavanagh, whose top class filly Pats Whisker, also injured herself and will miss the rest of the sping.

Of course Whobe was helped a great deal by Newitt butchering Heart Of Dreams by having it so far back in the running.

Brett you come in and out of retirement more than John Farnham.

Where did you watch the Melbourne Cup from today and how much money did you lose?
