will lockyer and gower be back for the final?
if one of them isn't, if i were bennett, i would put wing at 5/8th or 1/2
he was a standout today

7. Kimmorley
6. Lockyer

14. Wing

I favoured Gower all the way up until now. Leave Wing on the bench - his impact coming into a game full of tired forwards is what makes him so good.

Cheers.

^^ What JW said.

I'd also almost go for both Wing and Bowen on the bench. Imo our forwards totally matched it with the poms, but we didn't have that spark to get around their defense. Can you imagine giving Kimmorley and Locky so many possibilities: Mini, Wing, Tonga, Berro, Sing, Rooney, Bowen.... we'd get over the line for sure.

6. Lockyer
7. Gower

It has been proven before so that should be the combination if they are fit!

Yep agreed.
However If lockyer is injured.......Wing in number 6 and Gower in 7 and Bowen in 14
If Gower is injured......Lockyer in 6 and Kimmorley in 7
If both are injured ...... Wing and Kimmorley halves.

How much better have Aus looked with Wing on?

Buderus has played well, but does not provide anywhere near as much as Wing. I reckon Aus would be stronger with wing on for the full 80 and another forward/utility on the bench. Would never happen, though.

[sarcasm] no but buderus is the best hooker ever
you should be shot for saying that someone else is playing better than him
bedsy is the best ever

Wing is explosive off the bench and is needed late in the game to weave through the tiring British forwards as he did this morning. He made 3 line breaks.

It's true wing has looked great whenever he's on and should probably see more game time, but that said he probably still is most effective as a fresh strike weapon that can shock tiring defences... Having both of them is working unbelievably well!

I think that Wing was much more dangerous when he was on by himself ie out of dummy half rather than as a running foward/pivot. His effectiveness was blunted somewhat when he was not acting half, although being pure class he still had a big influence.

Wing is good but he is not as safe as Bedsy is but Wing should be on the bench and see the last 10 mins in the first and secong halves of the game.

Panthers fans eh.. :?

I have an intense dislike of Kimmorley, but he was one of our best today. I'm a huge fan of Gower, but he has played like a busted arse in the Tri Series. Anything other than a Kimmorley-Lockyer combo in the final will be a poor option.

Maybe, but it won't happen. Hard to through Wing into the halves cold, especially considering we have 2 out and out halfbacks in the squad and Wings great performances so far off the bench.
Lockyer, Kimmorley is the go, but if he does stick with Gower he won't let anyone down.

If fit, Lockyer and Gower easily. They have been the best in those positions so far.

If only one is fit, then you leave Kimmorley in.

If neither is fit, Wing must play no 6. Hill hasn't got it at the moment for mine. It's a final, you have to pull out all the stops. Bowen then becomes the zippy guy on the bench.
