halves for next year?

I got sick of seeing players get half through the line and look to offload only for no one to be running off them. Our support play was pathetic last season

never mind halfway more than once i saw players make a clean break then look around for support and everyone was 20 metres behind them

Actually, the quote is "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."

Maybe, I am closer to the "truth" than you think? ;-)

Sorry, couldn't resist. You quoted the one person I actually know something about!

That's still all in your opinion. You say that sooner or later Humble will be 6 as if it is definite, when that is just speculation you yourself are saying shouldn't be posted. Qua? You have to remember mate that saying stuff like "Humble is the best 6 at the club" is still your opinion and not fact.

I agree with you though that under Kearney our halves at the club could all go to another level, as well as with Brad Arthur being the backs coach. You only have to look at Melbourne's success to think that *hopefully* :))) our halves improve, whoever are the starting halves.

I say, it's open to everyone, lets see who impresses! :)

Of course it`s only my opinion, you silly boy. You can take that as understood. :) And, yes, a backs coach might help all the halves. Don`t worry, if Mortimer comes good I`ll be cheering my guts out for him - and I`ll be happy to concede that I was wrong in my judgement of him.

Problem for me is Robosn and mortimer had all of 2010 for first crack and it didnt work for the best part of 26 rounds-Why give them first crack again?
I still think morts can be an option at 9 thou id probably give him first crack at 6.
Halfback is up for grabs. Not sure humble is a dominating enough player to run a team.I havent seen enough of him.Maybe mcguire by default. I think parra should of made a play at Wade grham-Cheap and one for the future-Also better than anything we have for a lot less $$$$$

give them all a crack in the trials and the best combo gets a start in round 1 its the only way to do it if mortimer knows his spot is safe why would he bust his arse trying?

Why pay out dollars for a kid who will probably end up playing much of his career at lock? He has yet to stop growing and he won't have the speed to play in the halves long term. The club needs a halfback NOT a 5/8 cum lock.

Well, firstly, it`s not set in concrete that Kearney will start with them. All he`s actually said is the job is theirs if they want it. In other words, if they show they deserve it. And even if he does start with them, hopefully he won`t blindly persist with them the way Anderson did.
The other possibility, of course, is that Kearney might just get a whole lot more out of both of them than Anderson did. They both went downhill this year. They might both improve next year. I don`t think so either, but you never know.

the whole team needs to have a set game plan and follow it that way the halves wont be under pressure to try and pull off a miracle 1% play on the 5th tackle because everyone else is out of position and they have no options
