I have it on good authority the NSW selectors have already got their sights set on replacement players for Origin III. John Morris at NSW halfback after Wallace was hooked, McDonnell is thereabouts for the state winger spot, Danny Galea and Corey Payne will add some much needed starch up in the front row as the likely props. WT may have several stars out for their upcoming season matches, but should still be able to string together a few competition points with Hodgo and Farah, simply because Stewart and Buderus kept the opposition guessing all game and should be the few who will retain their rightful jerseys.

Stewart had a good game, but he creates little by himself, mostly feasts on the good work of others. Still I thought he was NSW's best last night.

Buderus on the other hand.......how many passes either found the turf or were behind Wallace on the last tackle last night? And I'm talking about the first 20 minutes, before fatigue had a chance to set in. He works hard and tackles hard but sh*t oh dear he has so little impact in attack it's not funny.

I disagree on Stewart, I think he's class. He saved three certain trys with great tackles.

Didn't get involved in attack much but to be expected when 90% of the team played like spastics.

He is good under the high ball, great support player and quick.

Agreed on Cooper - though he wasn't signed as a replacement half for one of the best in the league.
Stewart is solid, though I'm more than happy with Hodgo (even though I fear for his life 30 times a game).

I like Stewart. Sure he won't create things out of nothing like a Slater, but you'll struggle to find a better finisher.

Its players like Tuner, Quinn, Mason, White, Buderus and Simpson who must be rooting the selectors to keep warranting selection.

If only he was as good as he thinks he is, then NSW would have won by 50.

Talks it up every origin, and goes missing.

I remember Mason running at Finch when Wikki was at the raiders. He picked himself after Mason trampled him and yelled out {pointing to Wikki} why don't you run at him you cat

Prince OWNED Mason not once, but twice when Big Willie deliberately ran at him. BOTH times Prince forced a handling error out of him. And Inglis made Gasnier his B!TCH for the evening.....brings back memories of Pat Richards and Beau Ryan who also made him their B!TCH.
