Happy Birthday to Mr Brian "Chicka" Moore, newtown legend, johnny hopper, and armani clothing model.
A living institution, one of my favourite bits of Chicka folklore( not really folklore cause I was standing about 5 feet away when it happened!) was at a warm up game at henson last year, the jetettes were getting a bit of a towelling, but managed to score a gutsy try.
The bluebag theme was conspicuously missing and the crowd was silent,when a commanding voice boomed out from in front of the canteen...
"PLAY THE SONG!!!"
It was Chicka.
It wasn't a request.
The song sailed out of the speakers.
The crowd cheered.
According to Chicka, anyone who scores while wearing the royal blue deserves a cheer.
Game on..............................................
