I saw the Harold Matthews yesterday at Western Weekender. I'm a parramatta/Norths supporter and in my opinion your best player was forward Brendan Hurd. He made more ground than any of your players.

Luke Vescio (hooker) would be their best, but yes Brendan Hurd had a very strong game on Saturday. Vescio was everywhere on Saturday and if Manly could of hung onto the ball for more than 2 tackles at a time who knows how much they would have won by

The boys won but it wasnt pretty. They made things alot tougher for themselves than it needed to be. Once again they scored within the first 3 minutes. Had plenty of chances, dropped two with line clean open and lost one over the tryline. Still struggling to complete sets in both grades. Vescio was a threat from dummy half again scored one and dropped it over the line for the third time in 2 weeks. Hurd wqas dissapointing after previous week. Thought Gutherson (wing) played real well. It was 14 all with 2 mins remaining then Coast kicked a goal. Manly replied with a goal of their own but anderson dropped a bomb with 30 secs left to give them one last shot.
