The part I bolded is why I have little hope for our game. We could be so much bigger but are held back by the NSWRL and its supporters.

Is the Sydney RL media giving any attention to the announcement from the WA Gov, or are they ignoring it because the focus isn't on the bloody Bears?

its astounding that a sport that is so popular and watched by so many eyeballs can struggle to get these blue chip sponsors... if aussie companies have some issue with Rugby League then the NRL should look at multi-nationals but it doesn't because we're a dumb insular sport thats happy to settle with Harvey Norman or Neds over Etihad.

Tbh getting into bed with a company like Ethihad from a country who banned the sport and put the country's federation boss in prison to benefit the other code is just sheer madness.
