Is this for real???? i found this while i was at the rugby.com.au website looking to pick some fights with the rich daddies boy union followers. they mention st george and manly as rugby clubs. are they referring to the union or league clubs. can somebody explain what is going on?

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA - David Niumataiwalu, a standout flyhalf for the U.S. National Team in the 1999 Rugby World Cup, was named the new coach of the Philadelphia-Whitemarsh Rugby Football Club Tuesday night.
Niumataiwalu, known in rugby circles as “Niu” (NEW – e), will lead the club into the upcoming Fall season and then into the 2002 Rugby Super League season, according to an agreement reached with the club’s executive board.
Philadelphia-Whitemarsh competes in the Rugby Super League, a 16-team league that represents the highest level of rugby competition in the U.S. Niu, 35, played flyhalf for Philadelphia-Whitemarsh prior to being selected for the 1999 World Cup squad and brings more than 20 years of high-level experience to his new position. Born in Sydney, Australia, Niu’s rugby resume includes 250 First Division matches for St. George/Manly Rugby Football Club, a spot on the 1987 Australian World Cup Training Squad, and 11 appearances for the U.S. Eagles National Team. He has been in the United States since 1993. Niu, his wife Donna and their three children live in Aston, PA. He is the Rugby League Coordinator at Glen Mills Schools and has made 32 international appearances representing the USA Rugby League National Team. “The club is quite proud and happy to have a player and coach of David’s caliber on board,” said Philadelphia-Whitemarsh President Matt Hull Tuesday, following the unanimous vote to name Niu head coach. Hull said Niu will be building a staff of coaches to develop the team’s first, second and third sides. Whether Niu will play as well as coach is up to him, Hull said, but coaching will be his foremost priority. “I’m looking forward to the challenge of developing the players at a club with a fine history in the EPRU (Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union) and USA Rugby,” Niu said after accepting the position. “My goals are quite simple: Improve and develop the players at the club, introduce some new ideas and direction that will challenge players to perform to the best of their ability and translate that into good performances on the field.”

Don't panic!

Niu has always been a dual code international. His commitment to RL is unquestioned despite this.

What I think you'll find is that some of his "new ideas and directions" may have a lot to do with the "Greatest Game".

This is a totally one-eyed article.......how is it possible to diiscuss Niu's career without a single reference to RL?

I wouldn't give it a second thought.
