But he is nothing more than an average first grader, defense is crap, can't pass, cant't kick and this BS about hard running at the line, he is not harder than any other fullback and in a few cases he is softer. KH = myth

Cant kick? Is that a pre requisite for a fullback? Minichello was regarded as the best fullback 2003-4-5....had a kicking game as good as Martin Bella.

Slater is great and all but isn't as safe. Stewarts one on one defense is horrific. How many times do you see people go straight through and go past him without so much as a passing glance.

He can put on brutal hits... but he still misses a lot of tackles.

I don't think his defence is crap by any means... he just makes a lot of errors in defence which hurts his tag as a "safe" fullback.

It took me until this year to fully appreciate just what kind of player K is,what he did in origin was nothing short of courageous.
All at such a young age too,when I'm supporting a team with K in it I know that he'll give 100% and won't let anyone down.

And although there is a lot of arguing about him,I'm sure players love playing in his side - I can tell that he's a real team player.

He had a great step and extra yard or two in pace as well a few years ago.

He never had a step. Benji Marshall had the step and Karmichael tried to emulate it. Poorly. I still cringe to this day whenever he tries it.

Still the safest fullback in the comp. Rock solid and 100% reliable. As has been said - A future leader.

His positional play in defense (and tackling ability) have improved alot in the last couple of years but he still is pretty ordinary when it comes to defending properly

No less tough is the Sharks Luke Douglas, same age as hunt and has managed 72 games straight in the physically tougher position of prop. Not a bad effort at all.

anyone questioning hunts defence must be having a laugh. he was pretty inspirational in that aspect in origin this year when he played 5/8th. didn't do much else good that day.. but his defence was simply outstanding.

he's safe as houses at the back and, as everyone has said, is excellent when returning the football. 100 games at the age of 21 is simply epic. love watching him play and is very deserving of any praise he gets.

yeah, that's fair enough... i certainly don't see hunt's tackling ability or any other aspect of his defence as a weakness though. if anything i would say it is one of his strengths, along with his attitude and courage (which are far and away his best attributes).

Channel 9? All i hear from them is how great Slater is...when in fact he is very suspect at the back and cant pass in backline moves!

Hunt gets unfairly treated at times but he is a top player and this is a great effort, well done to him. Is such a good player and will only keep improving, look how much he has achieved at his age, well done.
