Hats off to Hunt

I did infact, and most of Hunt tackles were mindless and ineffectual attempts.
His positional play in defense (and tackling ability) have improved alot in the last couple of years but he still is pretty ordinary when it comes to defending properly

I just don't believe the hype that keeps being put around about this kid, he could very well end up being a legend, but he is far from it now.
Well that is unless you want to blindly follow the moronic views of the idiots on Ch9

And what of your assertion that he can't pass? In the Broncos/Eels thriller earlier this season that many here have labelled their most enjoyable game of the season, he set up two tries. One coming off a sublime flick pass and the other a cut out pass.

He can pass.

If you think he is an average 1st grader then you are the idiot. Jerome Ropati is an average 1st grader. Ashton Sims is an average 1st grader.

Hunt is a cut above. Evidenced by his rep career at such an early age.

Definitely the fullback I'd want if I could pick any team. Safe and at the very worst solid in every aspect of the game.

Slater is great and all but isn't as safe. Stewarts one on one defense is horrific. How many times do you see people go straight through and go past him without so much as a passing glance.
OH..........MY............GOD!! I had to read that like 13 times i wasnt sure what i was reading.

100 games at 21 the kids got one of the brightest futures ahead of him that i could imagine!! potential 300 + gamer hopefully all for one club!!

Old matey thats saying he is an average 1st grader  um pretty sure the average first grader hasnt had the rep carrer this lad has at the age of 21 . . . your comments are obviously like tits on a bull!!

I cant see him leaving the broncos as he talks for the love of the jersey and what not and he has very close ties to hodges and has built a house up here but they do need to offer him some pretty good $$$ and a shot at the (c) necxt to his name when locky leaves

he has been a bit lazy lately and a few little things have been errrking me with his game playing a bit negative but im sure that will change this week and into the finals

played against him as a kid and was always going to make the big time i remember him putting 5 tries on us in one game, i thought that was bad untill we played norths ipswich in a trial game not sure of the exact team name but berrick barnes played for them and the score was 40 - 20 and berrick scored all 40 points ltl sh*t got our season of too a real sh*t start lol

ps sh*ts all over slater period!!!!:p

Safest fullback in the comp without question. Not prone to brain explosions like Slater (note the dropped ball off the kickoff last weekend....wont see Hunt drop a bomb)

How is dropping the ball of the kick off a brain explosion??? A mistake and a dumb one at that but brain explosion?

As for Hunt, good player, like his toughness and I hope he doesnt depart to kick and clapp soon although it appears enevitable at some stage these days.

Brain explosions.....mistakes....meh. Too precious simo.
Slater proved in origin that he is not the number one fullback...Hunt is. Its just luck he has people like Gould and M Johns who want to clean up his mess.

Will be one of the greatest lock forwards in the game in just a few years if my mail is correct!

Amazing achievement for him to have played 100 matches at such a young age. This bloke is one of the toughest competitors I've seen in my 24 years, and a dedicated and professional club member as well. He could conceivably have another 12 seasons left in the NRL, which is an amazing thought!

Oh, and for the knobs who STILL go on about Hunt being a traitor. Well, as an 18 year old kid he was offered a walk-up start to a black jersey. No one realistically thought he'd have any hope of playing for Aus or Qld for at least half a decade, such was the dominance of the likes of Slater, Minichiello, Bowen et al. He moved here, completed his secondary schooling here, grew through the Australian RL development system and obviously loves this country and is proud of the fact that he is a citizen of Australia.

For all that people whinge and moan about immigrants who don't want to be here etc., I can't see why people aren't applauding a decent, hard-working young man who moved here and loves this country.

Meh, probably the wrong thread for it. Good on you K, another reason to celebrate tomorrow night & I'm hoping it's with a win!

congratulations to Hunt thats a fine achievement.
But he is nothing more than an average first grader, defense is crap, can't pass, cant't kick and this BS about hard running at the line, he is not harder than any other fullback and in a few cases he is softer. KH = myth

Still think he cant pass? Have you seen the Knights Broncos game? Or are you still watching re runs of David Hall?

What a class act for a twenty one year old!

That was a supreme performance tonight for the bloke in his one hundredth game, and also his only first grade coaches farewell. I don't get the chance to watch to many games these days but from what I saw today I can say Karmichael Hunt is the best fullback in the game. He just adds so much to a football side from that position.

I don't know what Hunt may have in store for himself in the future but if he continues like this we will be witnessing the career of a true great of the game.
