Have we grown as a team?

We've given away so many winnable games this year, last weekend included. Very frustrating as a fan.

Stuart keeps banging on about being such a young team but are we learning from our mistakes? We self destruct under pressure with stupid mistakes, penalties and poor defence. I don't see a team who is learning from these mistakes because we keep doing the same thing every week.

Stuart keeps talking about a bright future but I still see us as a team that is merely making up the numbers.

I don't think we'll make the finals this year as those games we threw away are going to cost us.

We aren't a team of rookies anymore. We should be able to go on with it and put a few teams to the sword once we get an 18 point lead.

Same issues just covered up with a more talented squad. Defence needs a massive amount of work in the off season and our prop rotation looks slim. However, we have shown we are talented enough to mix it with the best.

TBH our defence was pretty amazing in the first half, they hammered our line quite a few times and came away with nothing. Would have been the perfect half of football if it wasn't for that stupid try we let in with a few minutes left.

Our attack in the second half was disgraceful and I thought it contributed more to the loss than our defence.

It was unfortunate that Hodgson got injured and that Shillo managed to f**k up majorly twice against the Cowboys. I see a brighter future for the Raiders, they just need learn to play for 80 minutes.

I think we've definitely grown as a team this year. There's only been two games where I've been genuinely pissed afterwards, and even some of our losses have been among the best games of the season.

The only issue I see is how much the team is able to continue to grow with the leadership we currently have. I'd hate to see us go through another season or two of believing we'll be competitive soon only to have people like Blake Austin and Josh Hodgson move on because they believe they're likely to do better elsewhere.

Another big step backwards last night and I hear Stuart harp on about the inexperience of the team but surely the Tigers have less experience than us and they put us to the sword???

Our halves were a disgrace and if people think Austin is the Blues saviour, they'd be better off sticking with Pearce after what I saw last night. Sam Williams is a joke. He has been embarrassing the past month or so and not even close to first grade standard.

Wighton had a blinder but thought he coul dhave been more involved close to the try line. Still, he was superb last night and is definitely our best player along with Papalii.

The fact that we've only won 3 of the last 11 games is a bit of a worry. Luckily no scores, bar the Warriors and maybe the Broncos have been blowouts. I still think the team has a lot of growing to do, but the Raiders have far exceeded my expectations in 2015.

My fingers and toes are crossed that we fire next year and don't have a crazy amount of injuries. The team is building well and having Sezer in the halves will be massive. I think the only thing missing is an experienced prop, but in saying that Boyd and Vaughn have been fantastic. Boyd is a monster and can certainly sniff out a try when it's needed.

If we can make it the finals this year it'll be a massive achievement. I don't really see it happening, but no matter what, I see good times ahead. For the love of god I hope there is good times ahead.

The last few weeks have been tough. When we had that home loss to the Cowboys you could just tell how much it took out of the team by their body language after the game and I don't think we've really been the same since.

As long as we can hold onto our peeps we should go ok in the next few seasons.

LOLL You poor buggers, Stuarts a complete fraud, his results show it, as do his excusses and embarrassing press conferences.
Another complete failure for him this year as a coach, add that to the long list of failure for him as a coach.
But the good news is coming for Raiders fans, you wont make the 8 next year, it will be more of the same under ricky and he will be booted as coach, then you can start digging yourselves out of the mess Ricky has got you in, hopefully nobody else will hire the clown.

Ricky couldnt coach a turd out of a well fed dogs ass on their daily walk to the park even if he fed it 4 tins of PAL for breakfast.

Looks like we will finish equal last and only avoid the wooden spoon on for and against. An abysmal season IMO.

I doubt we beat Penrith and Parra are playing much better than us. Looks like all the people we thought were tools for picking us to run last weren't far off with their pick.

being in wooden spoon contention is not growing as a team i am afraid.
Yes and no. I thought our efforts for the first two thirds of the season were quite impressive, but the narrow losses really seemed to take their toll and losing Soliola really f**ked us.

Lots of positives to draw on from this season. Our new recruits performed above expectation and there's something to build upon there.

The effort in the last few games has been disappointing though.

If you guys end up delivering us the spoon that would be perfect revenge for last year.

That was a dead set disgrace from us last year.

Who ever turns up between the ears will win it this week, who ever wants it the most will get the chocolates, im hoping it will be us but we just find a way to lose with poor handling.

I recon its the toss of a coin for this one but i would love to beat Ricky at home, us Eels fans have even penned a special song/chant for him titled 'Hit Ricky with a brick'..
