Have you not learnt your lesson from langer?

I can't believe the people who are doubting Walters this week. These are the same people who said Bennett was desperate in bringing langer back and that alfie would be a flop, wouldn't last 10 mins and so on.
Langer played brilliantly and could probably count himself unlucky to not have taken the man of the match award. He showed that true champions never die and while the body may deteriate the mind still knows all the old tricks.

Walters is a bigger gamble than Langer, no doubts about that. Walters will probably play till round 26 and possibly into the finals. Thats alot harder than one final go from langer. We are talking about 1 match compared to 10.
All this in mind Its just like Walters has had a serious injury, his last match was early on in the year for Warrington which was about the time of round 3 in our comp. Now 15 rounds is a bit more than your usual injury but still i think hes up to it. The mind is still fit and knows the tricks that has made him a star in this game.

Just remember as in langers case hes not so much being brought back for his playing ability but for the experience he brings. He adds leadership and direction in the halves, 2 things that have really been lacking for the Broncos since their run of injuries.

Many people say its a slap to our young halves but really they have been given 18 rounds to prove themselves and there comes a time when you have to draw a line in the sand. Walters will help Princes game and make him better for the future.

Bennett has never been afraid to take a gamble throughout his career as a coach and once again hes playing his cards. I think you'd be a fool to doubt Bennett because he always seems to have the last laugh.

You can doubt Kevvie all you like but I have faith that he can boost this side and add some direction and really in partnership with lockyer give us more attacking options on both sides of the field.

Cheers

Well, the Broncos won in a canter but I have yet to see the game or hear any reports about the form of Kevvie. I hope he plaed well and will be handy come semi final time. Berrigan is due back in a couple of weeks and I also heard a report thet Gordie will return for the second week of the semis.

Nice to see you finally post Bronco.

Well Kevvie had a solid game, seemed to struggle with his fitness a bit but that'll come around and is understandable after his time out of the game.
Prince also played a pretty good game today and it was great to see the Broncos with 3 playmakers in lockyer, prince and walters, there were so many options and a great win.
Kevvie has passed the 1st test, 7 more to go.

Legend, i've put up about 4 new topics on the forum, you've done a good job here.

Cheers

It's one thing to do it for one game but an entirely different thing to do it for 12 consecutive games. Nevertheless I do think Walters will be good for the Broncs, figure he'll play a similar role as Taylor for the eels, just guiding the young kids around the park, they really need someone to do that as Prince is not up to it yet.
