THE manager of Parramatta's superstar fullback Jarryd Hayne has agreed for his star player to sign a new $2 million contract with the Eels.
In massive boost for the club on the eve of tomorrow nights blockbuster against the Bulldogs, The Dally M champions agent agreed to terms for a four-year deal this morning.
After weeks of negotiations, Haynes manager Wayne Beavis struck the deal with Parramatta CEO Paul Osborne at a 10am meeting.
Rivals clubs, including the Sydney Roosters, were prepared to pay up to $500,000-a-season to entice him away from Parramatta.
A Parramatta source told The Daily Telegraph Online: "Jarryd didn't want to go anywhere he loves Parramatta.
"It was just a matter of coming up with the right deal. Were expecting hell sign next week but doesn't want interruptions before the game."
The Eels are expected to hold a press conference early next week to confirm the signing.
The Daily Telegraph will have more details online later today and in tomorrow's newspaper.
Jarryd Hayne agrees to stay with Eels

JARRYD Hayne, arguably the best player in the world, has given Parramatta a massive boost on the eve of tomorrow night's blockbuster preliminary final against the Bulldogs by agreeing to a new four-year deal with the Eels.
Eels chief executive Paul Osborne met Hayne's manager Wayne Beavis early today and the pair effectively agreed on a new deal, believed to be worth about $2 million.
"I met with Wayne this morning, and it was a very positive meeting for us," Osborne said. "Wayne was happy with the offer that was tabled and we're obviously happy with the terms. Once the game's over, he's indicated that Jarryd will put pen to paper early next week."
Eels officials decided against attempting to get Hayne to officially sign this week in a bid to allow him to concentrate on tomorrow night's clash at ANZ Stadium, which is tipped to be a sell-out.
Hayne, who has been in outstanding form since starring for NSW this year, was off contract at the end of next year but had already attracted significant interest from other NRL clubs, including Sydney Roosters, and would have become the biggest name on the player market but for his decision to re-sign.
