On the news talking about he wouldn't mind to do it with the lure of big bucks. F*cking cat  Spoke as if he was ready to sign.

Just another threat to our competition...

Isn't that the same guy that was shot at in Kings Cross and said he didn't want to play wing??

Man I just hate that guy soooo much!

Isnt Japanese Rugby played in our off season? Isn't that what Benji was hoping to do, play there during the off season and come back for our regular season. If that's the case it wouldn't be so bad.

Benji was only planning a guest stint. They are about due to play their GF this week or next, so I assume that the season would start before our semis. So basically the seasons overlap. If a NRL player was to sign for a Japan Rugby side, then he could play a full season there and a bunch of games here or visa versa only.

It was on 7 news, and a complete beat up, they linked his name to Japanese Rugby, then had a very short grab of him saying he understood why players did it, but he had no plans at this stage, and then said when he was older hed like to go to France like his old man. The end, No story.

Ahh true, my bad. Well certainyl hope he doesn't get targeted then. I read today the reason the Japanese are chasing League players is due to a new rule where one of their international players has to be uncapped. Makes the NRL a prime target for sure.

Geeze, outrage about Hayne saying he could sign (I didnt hear what he said), but last year Inu was quoted saying he'd also consider going to union and it caused barely a murmer.

No, there's no double standards around these parts.

Personally, I wouldnt blame anyone for going for the dollar. Why shouldnt they? They're professionals, it's their living.

apart from disruptions to our offseason prep i don't see the problem with loaning players to japanese rugby. it's not like our whole squad would be going. if our players can get an extra big pay-check in the off-season and that helps us keep them at a reduced contract then i'm all for it.

i think gallop's comment about developing players for other codes is a farce. he doesn't seem to have a problem with parra, penrith or saints developing players for rival clubs.

anyway like with many league to union converts (excluding the ones that have already played union) i think hayne could struggle with the different skill set.

The only outrage would be if he did a SBW and jumped ship mid contract. That would be pretty low.

Correct me if im wrong but Hayne's comments that I heard on the news were along the line of "Theres alot of money out there being offered to league players and im sure it will make it tough for some of them to turn it down"

The TV presenter mentioned Japense rugby. Hayne didnt. And didnt mention himself.

Hayne's comments echoed those of Inu's last year....... if the money is there they'd be silly not to take it. Didn't hear him saying he'd jump ship.

I heard Jarryd talking on the big sports breakfast the other day. He only seemed interested in the season ahead. Sounds like media sh*t stirring again.
