Not saying the union meeting was leaked, but my point is Hayne and his manager usually "control" the messages that get out in the media quite well - e.g. leaking who might be interested to keep Hayne's name in the papers - and hence mainatin his bargaining price.

Yes I did. Looks like he'sll end up in Japanese rugby, and supplement that with an Australian doemstic rugby season - which handily helps keep his brand recognition going here (unlike Craig Wing, who disappeared to Japanese rugby and we never heard of him again).

I'm sure why Union offer big money to league players who have never played the game, do they think if they sign a few league players that all of a sudden the TV ratings and crowds will go up?

Yep, my interest will completely stop if he joins Union as I am not a fan of the game.

If he doesn't play for the Wallabies it would seem strange for them to outlay that much money on him but that is their choice and good luck to them but they won't be converting me to even watch a single second of the games.
