Jarryd or his manager are very adept at playing the media through strategic leaking. Not saying the union meeting was leaked, but my point is Hayne and his manager usually "control" the messages that get out in the media quite well - e.g. leaking who might be interested to keep Hayne's name in the papers - and hence mainatin his bargaining price.

You mean like every manager out there? You seem to treat Hayne different to others yet he is doing the same as many others whether they are switching codes or not.

You seem to be the only one that it affects so greatly too.

Yes I did. Looks like he'sll end up in Japanese rugby, and supplement that with an Australian doemstic rugby season - which handily helps keep his brand recognition going here (unlike Craig Wing, who disappeared to Japanese rugby and we never heard of him again).

At this stage it looks like absolutely nothing. There has been no decision so unless you are Hayne or Beavis you know f**k all about what he will or won't do.

I think Hayne will go to union play super 15 and in japan in the off season, he will be bored as and leave within 18mths.
Of course Hayne will be bored... he's likely got ADD and is incapable of fulfilling a contract!

Left us early... left 49ers early... I can see a pattern emerging there too.

I don't think there is anyone (other than phantom bart) who really knows what will happen.

There is no hurt in him exploring what union have to offer if they specifically want to talk to him.

I actually couldn't give a shit what he does. If he plays league then, yay! If not I won't be following the game he plays.

You were the one that said your were confused...? I just gave you an answer, now you're complaining. *lol emoticion*

Why are you so greatly affected by a prediction? Are you still harbouring hope that the guy signs with us and miraculously learns to play in the halves?

It was reported the meeting was at the instigation of Beavis. He and Hayne specifically wanted to talk to union, and yes there is no harm.

You give a good impersonation of someone who cares a lot...

I suspect Hayne won't go to union if he can't earn the same $ as if he was playing for the Wallabies... hence Gould's recent comment that Hayne would be playing 12 months a year, but not in the NRL? And hence the interest in a Japanese rugby season complementing his Super 15 season.

$$$$$ and branding...
So Hayne not playing at the top level and testing himself??? Doesn't sound like the chase your Dream Jarryd we all know and love.

You didn't answer any to that, except some garbage about strategically leaking it which then wouldn't make it a secret.

When you state it as fact, i will argue.

You certainly make it seem like there is harm.

You give a good impersonation of someone who cares a lot...

Of course I care in a sense, there is a slight chance he'll come to Parra so therefore I am interested in the story but ultimately if he goes to union I won't slit my wrists over it and any slight interest I had will cease and he will just be another Union player I couldn't give a shit about.

It will get tiring though seeing you brag how you knew since 2014 that he would be playing Union.

Well he's got to get fat and settle down like the rest of us sooner or later... after failing at NFL (taking the first season merchandising money and getting out) and then Rugby 7s (getting an Air Fiji sponsorship gig out of it), Hayne might swap "chasing dreams" and openly admit to chasing the cash - comforted no doubt by the love of his (reported?) girlfriend and the love of his God.

How did he fail at NFL?

Sigh. Go back and have another read... it's a "secret" because this was one meeting that they didn't leak - unlike the sources behind all the other "controlled" or planned stories about how many clubs are inteested etc.

When you state it as fact, i will argue.
Sounds like good advice for life... good luck with that!

It would be less tiring if you hadn't argued as hard, all the way along...

Couldn't be bothered learning the new coach's playbook, and left his contract instead of doing the hard work.

Oh, and got dropped from the playing squad (and put up for potential sale/transfer, before being retained for training squad/depth) after his fumbles and poor blocking.

But the fact it is in the media leaked or not means it is not a secret.

A secret would be that he signed with them and we didn't hear about those meetings till after he was signed.

Making an NFL roster was his goal, he made it. I don't know how that is a failure.

But you are right, why I reply to your drivel is beyond me and I will cease from this moment on.

Enjoy your trolling.

Sigh. It was reported as a secret because it was a secret up until they reported it.

Maybe give Ray's show a call and discuss?

Make a roster is no good, unless you actually participate in the roster and see it through.

Oh, and why you reply is beyond me too, so good choice!

It certainly wouldn't make me watch union if he played, i don't watch it now and still won't.
I'm sure why Union offer big money to league players who have never played the game, do they think if they sign a few league players that all of a sudden the TV ratings and crowds will go up?
Doesn't matter who plays it it is still a shit game to watch.

Yep, my interest will completely stop if he joins Union as I am not a fan of the game.

If he doesn't play for the Wallabies it would seem strange for them to outlay that much money on him but that is their choice and good luck to them but they won't be converting me to even watch a single second of the games.

One of the articles mentions Folau is the highest paid Wallaby, and they justify it through his contribution to marketing, ratings, media coverage... they've measured all this shit before and after, and I guess that's what a well known league player can bring to their table?
