I’ve met Phil Rothfield. Despite the shit he cops I can state that he is a nice bloke to talk to and knows plenty about the game and what’s going on in Rugby League.
LOL!!

Why does he write so much shit about it then??? Did you meet him the only time he has been sober in the last 30 years??

Yep. For a guy that supposedly loves the game and feeds off it, he sure does love dragging it through the mud.

He's a drunken maggot, can't stand the prick. Sticks the boot into RL every chance he gets but makes his living off the game.

Jarryd certainly showed glimpses of his talent yesterday.

Is there any other player in the NRL who after he passes or kicks the ball then turns his back on the game and jogs back to his position in total self admiration of his contribution?

Too harsh ?

I honestly thought he was pretty average yesterday .... he should be the marquee player for fiji - I wouldn't have put him in their top 5 players yesterday

they had 70% of the ball in that first half - needed someone to create something

100% he did not steer the team around. He was not 3 plays ahead and scheming. If the ball came his way, he decided what do do there and then and mostly just shifted it. If not for the neville forwards like Tui, they would not have won the game.

Like a kid who thinks he is so smart that he does not need to study for an exam, the merkin thinks that his talent will get him through the match. Facts are that elite players train much harder than him and are seemingly more focused on the finer parts of the game.

That does not mean that he would not be a good centre for us, and he need only defend what is in front of him and set up his outside man.

I envy the amount of time you have to attend training sessions across the nrl. I'm surprised you have the time to post on here given how many you attend in a week. Or do clubs send you videos of them training?

OK how about this this then. Anecdotally, it has been said that Hayne is a poor trainer. From his days at the Eels and now at the Titans, there has been continual remarks from those within those two organisations that he is a poor trainer and often goes missing when hard work is required.

Accordingly, there is either an entrenched jealous, vicious and baseless witch-hunt against him or he is or has become lazy. He certainly is playing like he is unfit or perhaps unenthusiastic this year.

For a player who has to run for more than 10km per match, with much if it at Vo2 max, he appears to be carrying a few kegs. Jarryd Hayne 2014 vs 2016/7 is below.

Hayne as a half was summed up best with 5 or so to go. It was the last maybe 4th and he passed a pretty poor ball. Instead of trying to close out the game he was trying to pull out the miracle play!!
