You think he’s lost it? Legitimate viewpont by the way.

He looks fat and slow. But i feel like im a good judge of character. I reckon Hayne if comes back at eels will turn it on big time. I feel he would like to repay eels fans and also stick it to the rest of NRL. I just do not see him going out of game on a bad note.

Funny all the shit he cops but Foran comes out smelling like roses. Another guy who chased the dollars, dogged us , carried on like a knob even before he had signed almost withdrawing, leaving. Dogging the warriors who put faith in him and gave a chance. Hayne hasnt chosen his words wisely. But plenty of guys done the same.

Look how Woods and Teddy played the tigers and both unhounded by media. Moses was told unwanted and he copped grief. Though another who chucked a tantrum.
The difference is words. Players best to just say no comment.

For a year , I would take him with an option in our favour. Gutherson is coming back from a knee reconstruction and French has hamstrings like Foran so Hayne could be a good fit and a smart buy. Plus the marketing opportunities despite what people may think will be huge for the club.

Look it wouldn't bother me either way if he does or doesn't come to Parra, but Id be disappointed if that means we have to shed some good players.

However what gives me a bit of confidence is back in 2008 Hayne was playing for Fiji and it gave him plenty of confidence the following season so maybe him playing for Fiji now could work again the next year. Although the difference is he was killing it for Fiji back then.

The media target Hayne more cause he hasn't been in great form since 2014, although they say 2009. They say he is lazy and got so many coaches sacked, even though one of the coaches never actually coached him. (Smith). If he has a blinder in a game next year, then they'll say he has captured that form.

With regards to Foran, I cant remember the last real good game he played, although he comes out of this as a good guy, despite walking out of two clubs. In a perfect world, he could've signed with Bulldogs instead of us.

My first thought is not to believe this story from buzz. My second is it’s very un-Jarryd like not to have tweeted his disgust at made up stories about him.

I have another theory for you.

What if Haynes Third party sponsor leaked it. Maybe the 180k payment due to Hayne is meant to be from them and they are filthy that they’re required to pay money in January and he’ll f**k off by February. Maybe they want to try and avoid payment.

AFAIK there is no 3rd party sponsor. Norm Black (Tip a Dealer owner) was quoted as saying that Hayne's deal had expired & his salary for 2018 was 100% on Titans. ( I cant seem to find the article now)

Reading between the line it appears the 2nd year option wasn't taken up (by one of the parties) & possibly the funds used for another player (Taylor ? Elgey ?)

I find Buzz's story interesting. Why would he write about Hayne planning on staying around until Jan to pocket $180k?

It's boarder line cheating the system and probably not within the NRL rules. You can't negotiate with a player under contract.

Did buzz make it up ? Or was that leaked to him?

He obviously has a source leaking him info, I doubt the titans would leak info on what "Hayne" is planning to do.

Is it possible someone from the "Hayne" camp leaked that info to put pressure on the titans to negotiation a more "Hayne" friendly payout?

Was it the "Hayne" camps way of saying, f**k you titans, give us the cash or we will stuff you around ?

I agree.
Lots and lots of tears-away tries

I was there that game, took my young fella to see his first Parra game and was lucky enough to be sitting in the Parra section, right where Hayne scored. Sentimental moment and gee I hope he brings that back.

I think what he has lost is the desire to be a professional sportsman and listen to the coach.

He wants to be and is all about “The Brand”. If he is coming back to Parramatta it’s not about the game and what he can bring to it. It’s about fixing his tarnished image. It’s about Hayne.

If he comes back and does what is best for the team I can’t see a one year deal hurting us. But, I didn’t see him leaving for the US nor signing for the Titans either.

A back line of Gutherson, French, Jennings, Hayne, (whatever winger takes Semi’s spot), Moses and Norman will be one of, if not close to the best in the NRL but I am not sure that Hayne’s ego will cope with that.

Hayne was due to make his debut under Smith but was dropped for missing training.

With all due respect, you don't know that. He may actually feel that he owes us something. Besides, I think that B.A. would be able to temper his ego if it came to that.

Because so many coaches have been able to beforehand? I think it’s possible BUT Hayne has to be in on it as well.

It has been made mention a few times in the media that he is concerned about “his brand”.

Too also look at the alleged way he is looking to treat the Titans by not announcing anything until he is paid for November and December, while alleged, still reeks of it all being about Hayne. Not suggesting that Rothfield is right BUT we still seem a long way away from signing him.
