You ever heard the expression 'let he who is without sin'?
I've been wanting to quote that since Tuesday, and not just at Bart. But I have refrained. Well done for saying it.
There are so many righteous, perfect people on this forum, and in life in general.
I'm wrapped that Hayne had an extraordinary game today considering it was his first hit out in 2 years.
Hopoate still isn't back to where is was after already having 2 years back in the game. Hayne did it in 50 minutes.
Situations change in everyone's lifes. I've no doubt that if our offer was right, Hayne would have preferred to have come back to the Eels. He expected, and I believe rightly so, a better offer from us.
In Brad Arthur's mind, it appears that he is satisfied with the clubs decision to not match the Titans offer.
I'm ok with that too, and I'm ok that if Hayne was dissatisfied with our offer, and wanted to play footy, that it's a no brainer that he'd take $350 k's more for the privilege of doing so elsewhere.
He gave the Eels 9 or 10 years of his career and in my mind was the greatest Eel I've seen play. For the majority of that time, he played with sub-standard rosters, yet was expected by many to lead us to premiership glory and is blamed for us not having done so.
I've got no resentment towards Hayne making the decision ha has, and I look forward to watching the masterclass that we saw today for the rest of the season and beyond.
